We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for healing. The Bible tells us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We stand on this promise, believing that our Heavenly Father is the Great Physician who hears our cries and answers our prayers.
Father God, we come to You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and through whom we have access to Your throne of grace. We ask for Your healing touch upon this dear one who is suffering. Lord, You are the same yesterday, today, and forever, and Your word declares in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We claim this promise over their life, believing that You are able to restore health and bring wholeness.
We also recognize, Lord, that sometimes our physical ailments can be a result of spiritual battles or unconfessed sin. We pray that if there is any area in this person's life that is not aligned with Your will, that You would reveal it to them. Let them experience the freedom that comes from repentance and forgiveness, as it is written in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." We ask that You cleanse and purify their heart, mind, and body, making them whole in every way.
We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or sickness in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare that by His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We speak life and health over every cell, every organ, and every system in their body. We pray that You would guide the hands of the medical professionals involved in their care, giving them wisdom and discernment. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we also ask that You strengthen their faith during this time. Help them to trust in You completely, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Surround them with Your love and the support of fellow believers who can uplift them in prayer and encouragement.
We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who has overcome the world and through whom we have victory. Amen.
