We join you in lifting up your sister and your mum before our heavenly Father, and we stand with you in asking for His healing hand and sustaining peace over your whole family.
We know how worrying it can be when breathing is labored and when muscles and nerves cause pain and weakness, and when waiting for a screening result brings anxiety. We take comfort that our God is the Lord who heals us. As it is written, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3, and For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. He sees your sister’s need for complete healing in her breathing and your mum’s need for restoration in her muscles and nerves, and He is able to renew strength and bring comfort and full recovery according to His perfect will.
We also bring your mum’s bowel screening before the Lord, asking for a clear and reassuring result and for His peace to guard her heart while she waits. We pray for continued physical and mental wellbeing, peace and protection over your entire family, for the Lord promises, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10, and In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.
We pray together, Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we lift up this beloved sister and this dear mum to You. Lord, touch our sister’s lungs and airways, ease every breath, restore full function and let her breathe freely without fear or struggle. Touch our sister’s mum, heal her muscles and nerves, relieve pain, restore strength and mobility, and let her feel Your comfort and presence each day. We ask for Your mercy over the bowel screening, that the result would be clear and bring reassurance, and that whatever the outcome, You would grant wisdom to the doctors and peace to her and to all who love her. Pour out Your peace and protection over this whole family, guard their bodies and minds, keep them in health and close to You, and let them experience Your renewed strength and full recovery. We ask that You would be glorified through their healing and that their testimony would encourage others to trust in You. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord while also stewarding the medical care He has provided through doctors and screening, for He often works through those means. Rest in His promise to give rest to the weary, as Jesus said, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28. Keep casting your cares upon Him daily, praying with thanksgiving, and dwelling on His Word.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and receive salvation and answered prayer. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord, for If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is in His name we pray with confidence, knowing He intercedes for us.
