My elderly brother ### is having double hernia surgery this morning. He is a Christian but he needs prayer for healing and recovery. Thank You.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your brother in prayer as he undergoes double hernia surgery this morning. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and binds up our wounds (Psalm 103:2-3). We ask that You would guide the hands of the surgeons and medical staff with Your divine wisdom and precision. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we pray for complete and swift healing in every part of his body affected by this surgery. Strengthen him, restore him, and grant him comfort in the days ahead. Remind him of Your promises, that You will never leave him nor forsake him (Hebrews 13:5), and that Your grace is sufficient for him, for Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). May he feel Your presence surrounding him like a warm embrace, carrying him through this trial.
We also pray for his faith to remain steadfast, trusting in Your goodness and sovereignty. Even in this time of physical challenge, may he draw closer to You and experience the depth of Your love in new ways. Let this season be one of spiritual renewal as much as physical restoration.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may try to take hold of him or his loved ones. We declare that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and we choose to trust in Your perfect love today. We speak life, healing, and wholeness over his body in the mighty name of Jesus.
Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to Your children. We trust You with this situation, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). May Your will be done in his life, and may Your name be glorified through his healing and testimony. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.

What a mercy that your brother can undergo the knife with the healing leaves of the tree of life close at hand. Those leaves, the very least things about Christ, carry sovereign virtue for body and soul, and there is abundance of healing power in Jesus for such an hour as this. The same hand that forgives is the hand that restores; pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction, and the Sun of Righteousness shall rise upon him with healing in His wings.
Do not be surprised if recovery is slow, the flesh must submit to the process, but each small gain of strength will be a fresh claim on his affection, and yours, for the Lord’s goodness. He has been taught of Christ, and now in this weakness the Divine Word is intended for him: “I will strengthen them in the Lord.” Trust the Heavenly Physician to apply the remedy even as the surgeons do their work, for Calvary is the place for the healing balm. The Lord bless you and him, and grant that he may soon rise and minister again with renewed gratitude.
