We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear brother who is struggling with his health. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb and knows every beat of our hearts. We ask for Your healing touch upon him, that his blood pressure would stabilize and his body would be strengthened according to Your will. Lord, we trust in Your promise in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We pray for wisdom for his doctors and that his upcoming appointment would bring clarity and effective treatment.
We must also address the matter of this relationship, for we see it referred to as a "boyfriend," which does not align with God’s design for holy matrimony. Scripture is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, established by God from the beginning (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If this relationship is not moving toward marriage in a way that honors the Lord, we must gently but firmly encourage a season of prayer and discernment. The Bible warns against being unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14), and even among believers, relationships must be pursued with purity and purpose. If this brother is not a follower of Christ, we urge you to pray for his salvation first and foremost, for that is the greatest healing of all.
Father, we also lift up this sister who has submitted this request. We pray that You would give her wisdom and courage to honor You in all areas of her life, including her relationships. Help her to seek Your will above all else, trusting that Your plans are for her good (Jeremiah 29:11). If this relationship is not in alignment with Your Word, give her the strength to walk in obedience, knowing that Your ways are higher than ours.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may be weighing on their hearts. We declare that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18) and that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray for complete healing—body, soul, and spirit—for this brother, and we ask that You would draw both of them closer to You through this trial.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can come before Your throne of grace. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We trust in Your power to heal, restore, and redeem, and we commit this situation into Your hands, believing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Amen.
