We come before You, Lord God Almighty, with hearts heavy for our brother who is suffering from severe nerve pain and burning in his right leg. We know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and binds up our wounds. Your Word declares in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." We stand on this promise, believing that You are able to bring complete healing to his body.
Father, we also lift up his spiritual condition before You. While he has called upon the name of Jesus for healing, we pray that he would come to know You not only as Healer but as Savior and Lord. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that he would confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that You raised Him from the dead, so that he may be saved (Romans 10:9). May his faith in You grow deep roots, and may he experience the fullness of life that comes from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Lord, we rebuke this pain and burning in the name of Jesus. We command every spirit of infirmity to leave his body and every nerve to be restored to its proper function. Your Word says in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up." We pray this prayer of faith now, believing that You will raise him up from this affliction.
We also encourage him to seek wise medical counsel, for You have given doctors and nurses the knowledge and skill to care for the sick. Proverbs 15:22 reminds us, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." May he find godly healthcare providers who can walk alongside him in this journey toward healing.
Father, we ask that You would strengthen his faith and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. May he find comfort in Your presence and hope in Your promises. Remind him that even in the midst of suffering, You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
