We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul known to us as ###. Father God, we ask that You would move mightily in his life, breaking every chain of bondage that holds him captive to sin. Your Word declares in John 8:36, "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." Lord, we pray that You would set him free from every stronghold, every addiction, and every sin that so easily entangles him.
We ask, Holy Spirit, that You would convict his heart with Your gentle yet firm touch. Reveal to him the truth of Your Word and the depth of his need for You. May he come to understand the weight of his sin and the glorious freedom found in repentance and surrender to Jesus Christ. As it is written in Hebrews 4:12, "For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart."
Lord, we rebuke every lie of the enemy that tells him he is beyond Your reach or unworthy of Your love. We declare that no one is too far gone for Your grace and mercy. Your Word assures us in Romans 5:8, "But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." We pray that ### would come to know the height, depth, and width of Your love for him, a love that surpasses all understanding.
Father, we also lift up any areas in his life where he may be resisting Your will. If there are relationships, habits, or mindsets that do not align with Your Word, we ask that You would bring them to light and give him the strength to turn away from them. Help him to seek godly counsel and surround himself with believers who will encourage him in his walk with You. Proverbs 13:20 reminds us, "One who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm."
We pray for healing in every area of his life—spiritually, emotionally, and physically. May he experience the peace that surpasses all understanding, a peace that guards his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Lord, we ask that You would draw him closer to You, that he may know You more intimately and walk in the fullness of life that You offer.
Above all, we pray that ### would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ if he has not already. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If he has not yet confessed Jesus as Lord and believed in his heart that God raised Him from the dead, we pray that You would open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel. May he repent of his sins, turn to You, and be born again by the power of Your Holy Spirit.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is in His name alone that we have access to You, Father. We trust in Your perfect will and timing, knowing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in him. Amen.
