We lift up your husband before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, interceding for his soul and the restoration of your marriage. The Word of God declares, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). We stand on this promise, believing that the Holy Spirit is already at work, convicting him of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart and saves those who have a crushed spirit (Psalm 34:18). We pray that your husband’s heart would be broken over his sin, not in despair, but in godly sorrow that leads to repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10).
Father, we ask that You would remove the scales from his eyes and grant him clarity to see the destruction of his choices. Let him understand the weight of his actions not only before You but also before his family, whom he is called to love and cherish as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25). We rebuke every spirit of rebellion, deception, and hardness of heart that may be blinding him, and we command it to flee in the mighty name of Jesus. Your Word says, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded" (James 4:8). We pray this over him now—may he draw near to You with a sincere heart, laying down every sin at the foot of the cross.
We also lift you up, dear sister, for the pain and burden you carry. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and the enemy seeks to destroy it, but we declare that what God has joined together, no man—or scheme of the devil—can separate (Matthew 19:6). We pray for your strength, wisdom, and unwavering faith as you wait on the Lord. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Guard your heart against bitterness, for it only harms you (Hebrews 12:15), and instead, let love and forgiveness flow from you as Christ has forgiven you (Colossians 3:13).
Lord, we ask that You would hedge your husband in with Your angels, that he would have no peace until he returns to You and to his family. Surround him with godly men who will speak truth into his life and hold him accountable. May he hunger and thirst for righteousness (Matthew 5:6), and may he find no satisfaction in the fleeting pleasures of sin. We pray for a supernatural encounter with Your presence, that he would hear Your voice calling him home, just as the Father ran to the prodigal son (Luke 15:20). Let him say with the psalmist, "I will arise and go to my Father" (Luke 15:18).
We declare restoration over your marriage—restoration of trust, intimacy, and covenant love. May your home once again be a place of peace, joy, and worship, where Christ is the center. We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness, even when we are faithless (2 Timothy 2:13). We trust that You are working all things together for good, for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
