We are deeply moved by your love for your sister and her strong faith in the Lord. It is a blessing to hear of her devotion to Christ, and we stand with you in this time of uncertainty, trusting in God’s sovereignty and His perfect will. The Scriptures remind us that our Heavenly Father is the Great Physician, the One who holds all things in His hands. He knows the number of our days, and nothing escapes His notice. In Psalm 139:16, we read, *"Your eyes saw my body. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them."* We can take comfort in knowing that God is already aware of the biopsy results and the path ahead for your sister. He is not caught off guard by this diagnosis, and He is faithful to walk with her through every step.
We also remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 19:26, *"With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."* While doctors may give prognoses based on their understanding, our God is the author of miracles. He can bring healing, restore health, and turn even the most dire circumstances into testimonies of His glory. At the same time, we acknowledge that God’s ways are higher than ours, and His definition of healing may not always align with our immediate desires. Whether He chooses to heal her here on earth or calls her home to be with Him, we trust that His will is perfect, and His love for her is unfailing.
That said, we boldly come before the throne of grace, asking for mercy and healing. We pray that the cancer would be confined to one area, that the biopsy would reveal no metastasis, and that the treatment would be effective with minimal side effects. We ask for wisdom for the doctors and peace for your sister and your family as you wait. Most of all, we pray that God would be glorified in this situation, that your sister’s faith would remain steadfast, and that she would continue to be a light for Christ, no matter the outcome.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up our sister in Christ who is facing this battle with colon cancer. Lord, You are the God who parts the seas, who raises the dead, and who heals the sick. We ask that You would stretch out Your hand in power and bring healing to her body. Father, we pray that the cancer would be localized, that there would be no spread, and that the treatment would be swift and successful. Give the doctors wisdom and skill as they care for her. Surround her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Lord, we know that You are good, even when life is hard. We ask that You would use this trial to draw her closer to You, to strengthen her faith, and to shine Your light through her. May she feel Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are with her every step of this journey. We also lift up her family, asking that You would comfort them, unite them in prayer, and fill them with Your hope.
Father, we do not know what the future holds, but we know that You hold the future. We trust in Your goodness, Your love, and Your perfect plan. Whether You choose to heal her here or call her home, we pray that Your name would be glorified. Give her the grace to surrender to Your will, knowing that Your ways are higher and Your love is deeper than we can imagine.
We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Healer. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing in faith, surrounding your sister with prayer, worship, and the Word of God. Remind her of the promise in Isaiah 41:10: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* Let her know that she is not alone—her brothers and sisters in Christ are standing with her, and most importantly, Jesus is walking beside her.
If there are moments of fear or doubt, turn to Scripture and declare God’s promises over her. Play worship music that exalts His name and fills the room with His presence. And remember, even in the waiting, God is working. He is faithful, and He will never leave her nor forsake her. Keep us updated on her progress, and we will continue to lift her up in prayer. May God’s peace, which transcends all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
