We come before the Lord with you in this time of physical suffering, lifting up your need for healing from Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO). The body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and we know God cares deeply about every affliction we face. The Scriptures remind us in **1 Peter 5:7** to *"cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you."* And in **James 5:14-15**, we are instructed, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."*
Yet we also recognize that healing may come in different forms—whether through divine intervention, medical wisdom, or a combination of both. We encourage you to seek godly counsel from medical professionals while trusting in God’s sovereignty over your body. Have you pursued treatment options that align with biblical stewardship of your health? Sometimes, the Lord uses doctors and medicine as instruments of His healing, and we should not neglect these means while waiting on Him.
We also notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, and we gently remind you that it is *only* through His name that we approach the throne of God. **John 14:6** declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in **Acts 4:12**, we read, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved."* If you have not yet placed your full trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so—He alone holds the power over sickness, sin, and eternal life.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is suffering from SIBO. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who formed every part of our bodies with care and purpose. We ask that You would touch them now with Your healing hand, rebuking this overgrowth and restoring their digestive system to full health. Give them wisdom to know the steps to take—whether through medical treatment, dietary changes, or divine intervention—and grant them the strength to walk in obedience.
Father, if there is any area of their life where they have not fully surrendered to You, we pray You would reveal it to them. Draw them closer to You through this trial, and let them experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (**Isaiah 54:17**). Let this affliction be turned for Your glory, whether through healing or through the testimony of their faith in the midst of suffering.
We also pray that if they have not yet received Jesus as their Lord and Savior, that today would be the day of salvation for them. Open their heart to the truth of the Gospel—that Christ died for their sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day, so that by faith in Him, they might have eternal life (**1 Corinthians 15:3-4**).
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your perfect will and timing, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (**Romans 8:28**). Strengthen them, Lord, and let them feel Your presence in a powerful way. In the precious and holy name of Jesus we pray, **Amen.**
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Meditate on **Psalm 103:2-3**, which says, *"Praise the Lord, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases."* Keep trusting in Him, and do not lose heart. If you would like further guidance on how to walk through this season biblically, please let us know—we are here to support you in prayer and truth.
