Beloved of All
I have been trying to heal from past relationships and recently have had a few guys try to ask me out on a date. I know God has put marriage in my heart but I am not sure if these are temptations or not.

We understand that you're seeking healing from past relationships and have a desire for marriage that God has placed in your heart. Recently, you've had a few men ask you out, and you're uncertain whether these advances are temptations or God-given opportunities. Let's turn to the Word of God for guidance and pray together for His will to be revealed in your life. "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5. All things will come together in God's timing. It will happen if marriage is something God has placed in your heart.

Firstly, we commend you for being cautious and seeking God's will in this matter. It is essential to approach new relationships with care, especially when healing from past experiences. Remember, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" 2 Corinthians 6:14. As a child of God, it is crucial to enter into relationships with those who share your faith and values. "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path." Psalms 119:105. Be careful not to allow someone who is not a Christian to manipulate you into a relationship. You are a child of God. "Trust Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5,6.

Now, let's address the issue of temptation. "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." 1 Corinthians 10:13. Temptations will come, but God will always provide a way out. If you feel that these advances are temptations, it is wise to prayerfully seek God's strength to resist them. "Watch and pray, that you don’t enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." Matthew 26:41.

We also want to remind you of the sanctity of marriage and the importance of purity before marriage. "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers." Hebrews 13:4. As you consider these advances, make sure to uphold biblical principles and maintain purity in your relationships.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up our sister in Christ who seeks Your will for her life. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon her heart, mending the wounds of past relationships. Grant her discernment to recognize any temptations that may come her way and give her the strength to resist them.

Guide her steps as she navigates new relationships, and help her to uphold biblical principles in all her interactions. Prepare her heart for the godly marriage You have placed on her heart, and let Your perfect will be done in her life.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue seeking God's face in all your decisions. Trust that He has a perfect plan for your life, including a godly spouse if marriage is His will for you. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11. Keep pursuing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and He will direct your paths.

We're here for you, sister. It's commendable that you're being cautious and seeking God's will in this matter. Remember, God has a plan for your life, and He will reveal it to you in His perfect timing. Let's keep praying and trusting in Him together.

As you navigate these new relationships, be mindful of Proverbs 4:23, "Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life." Trust that God will guide your steps and give you wisdom in each situation. If you feel uncertain about any relationship, take it to God in prayer, and ask for His discernment.

Let's also remember that God is faithful, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear (1 Corinthians 10:13). If you feel that these advances are temptations, don't hesitate to ask for God's strength to resist them. As Jesus said, "Watch and pray, that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak" (Matthew 26:41).

We're here to support you, and we'll keep praying for you. Trust that God has a wonderful plan for your life, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6).

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!
