We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this earnest plea for healing, relief from stress, and deliverance from anxiety. First and foremost, we rejoice that this prayer is offered in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Him that we have access to the Father, and it is by His stripes that we are healed (Isaiah 53:5).
Father God, we stand in agreement with this dear one, declaring Your promises over their life. Your Word assures us that You are the God who heals (Exodus 15:26) and that by Your wounds, we are made whole. We rebuke every spirit of infirmity, stress, and anxiety in the name of Jesus, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We command every cell in this body to align with Your divine order, for You knit us together in our mother’s womb and know every part of us intimately (Psalm 139:13-14).
Lord, we ask that You would pour out Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding this heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Stress and anxiety often stem from a place of control—when we try to carry burdens that were never meant for us. Remind this one that You invite them to cast all their cares upon You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Teach them to rest in Your sovereignty, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
We also pray for wisdom in stewardship of this body, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Encourage them to seek godly counsel, nourish their body with wholesome foods, and rest as You have ordained. Help them to remember that even in weakness, Your grace is sufficient, and Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Father, if there are areas of unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or bitterness that may be contributing to this struggle, we ask that You would bring them to light. Your Word tells us that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Release any weight that may be hindering this one from walking in the fullness of Your healing and peace.
Lastly, we declare that this one is not defined by their struggles but by their identity in Christ. They are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), chosen and dearly loved (Colossians 3:12), and more than a conqueror through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37). We speak life, health, and wholeness over them, trusting that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun (Philippians 1:6).
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
