Beloved of All
Your prayer for your son has been heard and I join you in bringing him before the Father with thanksgiving. It is good that you begin by thanking God for His blessings, for every healing and every peace comes from His grace.
I pray with you that the Lord Jesus Christ, who is our true physician, would heal your son completely, in body, in mind, and in spirit. The Gospels show us that Christ heals the soul no less than the body, and indeed His greatest miracles are for the sake of the soul, to draw us to His teaching and to Himself. So we ask not only for physical strength to be renewed, but for spiritual renewal and for the peace that comes only from Him. As it is written, grace and peace are from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who ended the great war between us and God not by our labors but by His grace.
God is not a God of war and fighting, but of peace, and He calls His children to be peacemakers. May He quiet every conflict and fear within your son and restore to him a settled peace. Like a wise physician, the Lord sometimes allows difficult medicine for our ultimate benefit, and He is faithful to apply what is needed to bring health. Even when healing seems slow, do not lose heart. As with those who receive many treatments before strength returns, the Lord is at work, and He is able to renew strength even when we have come to the end of our own.
So let us pray together: Father, we thank You for Your mercy and for every blessing You have given. In the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, through whom alone we have salvation, we ask You to lay Your healing hand upon this son. Heal him physically, mentally, and spiritually. Renew his strength when he is weak, restore his peace when he is troubled, and draw him closer to You. Let Your grace and peace abide upon him and upon his family, and keep them firm and unmoved. We trust Your love and Your power to make whole. In Jesus name, amen.
