Healing, strength, peace

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Father God, please heal my son ### physically, mentally, and spiritually. Renew his strength and restore his peace, In Jesus name Amen

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your precious son before our Heavenly Father. The Word of God assures us that "the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up" (James 5:15). We stand on this promise, believing that God’s healing power is able to restore what has been broken, body, mind, and spirit.

Father, we ask You to touch with Your healing hand. Where there is pain, bring comfort; where there is weakness, infuse strength; where there is turmoil, grant peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we trust in Your perfect will for his life.

We also pray for spiritual renewal. If there are areas where has grown distant from You, draw him back with Your lovingkindness. Let him experience the fullness of Your presence, for You are the God who restores souls (Psalm 23:3). Strengthen his faith, Lord, and let him walk in the confidence that comes from knowing You are his healer and sustainer.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or despair that may be trying to take hold. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand in agreement for his complete restoration.

Lord, we also ask for wisdom and endurance for you, his parent. May you be filled with the peace of God that guards your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Lean on Him in this season, for He cares for you deeply (1 Peter 5:7).

Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that Your plans for are for good and not for harm, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the Great Physician, who alone has the power to save and heal. Amen.

We hear the ache in your words, wanting your son whole in every way. Watching someone you love struggle can make your own soul feel heavy. Please know you’re not alone as you carry this; we join our prayers with yours, trusting that God sees your son and knows exactly what he needs right now.

While you keep lifting him before the Lord, stay close to him in the day-to-day. Keep showing up with your presence, your hope, and your steadiness. Often the most powerful healing grows in the soil of simple, faithful love. Alongside prayer, we gently encourage you to make sure he’s also getting sound medical and mental health support if he isn’t already, God frequently uses such help to bring renewal.

Sometimes healing comes in quiet, gradual ways, and strength returns little by little. Don’t lose heart if the road feels long; God walks it with both of you.

Let’s pray.

Father, we bring this son to You today. You know every part of his body, mind, and spirit that needs Your touch. We ask You to mend what is broken, lift what is weary, and quiet whatever is unsettled inside him. Give him strength for each new day and a deep, anchoring peace that goes beyond his circumstances. Surround him with wise, kind people who can support his recovery, and give his parent the grace to keep hoping. In Jesus’ name.

Your plea for your son rises before the throne, and it is a cry with which every Christian heart must unite. Yet let us lay this matter out plainly. The request is for healing, strength, and peace, a threefold cord that must be tied at the throne of God, for it cannot be done in the strength of nature. When the duty seems beyond us, we must stop and breathe a prayer for more strength, then in His name take the leap.

Consider well this truth: the healing we seek flows from one source alone. The power of the Gospel is a healing power. He used no other remedy but taking our sicknesses upon Himself. It is the blood of Jesus that whispers peace within. The chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His stripes we are healed. Do not look for a cure that begins and ends with the physical frame, for the least thing about Christ is healing, and His very leaves are for the healing of the nations. The Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, and His first word to a sin-sick soul is often, "Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you." Pardon and healing are one.

As for strength, there is a higher and nobler form than either the physical or the mental. It is to be strengthened with strength in the Lord. They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. Do you not know that He gives power to the faint, and to them that have no might, He increases strength? When all your own strength fails you, your strength shall be to sit still while God arises. Beware of trusting in the strength of mere flesh, for though it spend itself, the dead cannot gather strength. Cry first for life, for while you were yet without strength, Christ died for the ungodly. The glory of your son's strength, should it be restored, must belong utterly to God.

And what of peace? It is a present possession, but it is God’s gift. "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You: because he trusts in You." This peace comes not by struggling, but by resting where Jesus has done the work. By thronging duties pressed, to do the will of Jesus, this is rest. When your son is overwhelmed with a consciousness of his own weakness, it is then he must be led to see where strength is laid up for him. Bear this sorrow with Him, and then see what peace, perfect peace, you will enjoy, even with sorrows surging round. It is that touch of personal faith which brings peace to the soul. If he will not trust God, neither shall he have peace.

Therefore, wait upon the Lord in this prayer, not with a feverish anxiety, but with the quiet confidence that His Word has healing leaves. Jesus linked the healing with the teaching. As you plead the promises, may your son hear His teaching and find first the forgiveness that ushers in every other blessing. Then shall your peace be as a river, and your son’s strength restored right speedily, for He remains the great conduit-head from which abundant streams of healing flow down to men below. In Jesus’ keeping we are safe, and your son is there, too.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You pray for healing of body, mind, and spirit, for renewed strength and restored peace. These are good things to seek from the Father. Yet consider how the Lord Himself speaks: "I am not come to send peace, but a sword." This is a hard saying, but it is true medicine. The peace the world gives is a false calm, a truce with corruption. The sword of Christ divides a man from his sin, from his spiritual sickness, even from his own destructive will. If your son is to be healed, the wound must first be cut open. If he is to find true peace, the false peace that keeps him content in illness must be shattered.

Do you wonder why your prayers seem unanswered, why the sickness of the soul or the heaviness of the mind persists? It may be that, like a tree receiving ten strokes, he has heard many words and remained seemingly insensible. But do not despair. How often we see a man who has heard ten times with no sign of fruit, and then at the eleventh hearing, he is brought down by a single blow and entirely converted. The former words prepared the way. The root was being worked upon, though no one saw it. For you, the parent, do not cease to bewail his state before God, for this lamentation is itself a kind of healing treatment. Many, when advised, are nothing profited, but when mourned for, they amend.

Your request for spiritual healing is the deepest part. True healing comes when one hears the word not as the voice of men, but as God Himself exhorting. Is your son in a place where he receives the word with such heed? This is the primary duty: to bring the sick man to the Physician, to ensure he hears the Law and the Gospel carefully, not with a bare hearing but with careful hearing, knowing what Christ intends. This is the table of the Lord, not a table of hostile beings. One must not fly from the world as though it could injure, for it has no strength over a soul set on Christ, yet neither must one indifferently partake of its corruptions.

Your prayer is right to ask for spiritual restoration, for if this is granted, the peace and strength and even the health of the body will flow as they should, according to God’s will. But woe to the man who increases his infirmity by his own remissness. Do not cease to apply the truth, even when it brings temporary pain. The sword that comes from Christ’s mouth is the very instrument that slays the disease. Persevere in prayer, but let your prayer be that your son may not merely be given a comfortable feeling, but that he may be brought to his senses, that he may have ears to hear, and that the last and saving blow of the Word may finally bring him down in fruitful repentance, laying hold on eternal life.

How beautifully you have brought your son before the Father, asking for his healing, strength, and peace in the name of Jesus. There is a profound connection between the well-being of the soul and the condition of the body. So often we see that as the mind and spirit are restored, the physical frame follows. The ancient prayer recorded in Scripture longs that we would prosper and be in health even as our soul prospers. When the inner man is anchored in truth and the peace of Christ, it does good like a medicine to the whole person.

Your request for renewed strength and restored peace is exactly what God desires to give your son. The peace He offers is not a fragile truce dependent on circumstances; it is the peace that surpasses all understanding, the quiet confidence that the Father is in control. When the world around us is turmoil, that peace stands as a witness. Jesus Himself said, “Peace be unto you.” He meant it for the disciples then, and He means it for your son now. And alongside that peace, there is strength, not a strength that mustered up from our own resources, but the strength that comes from knowing the Son of God. Even when our own natural vigor fails, His strength is made perfect.

Healing is wrapped up in the very work of Christ. Matthew, writing by the Spirit, took the prophecy of Isaiah, ”with His stripes we are healed”, and applied it directly to the physical healings Jesus performed. This is not only about the forgiveness of sins, though that is the greatest healing of all; it also reaches into our bodies and minds. Whether the healing comes instantly or gradually, whether it arrives as a quiet process God placed within the body or a sudden touch, it remains divine. Some healings happen in the emotions and the mind, mending the wounds and scars no one can see. We can trust Jesus for all of it, because He bore the chastisement of our peace on the cross.

Keep crying out like the blind men on the roadside: “Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David.” They would not be silenced, and Jesus stood still and acted. Your prayers for your son are heard by the living Son of God, who has all authority over the physical realm, the material realm, and the spiritual realm. He is the Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. The government rests on His shoulder, and He shares His rule of peace with those who belong to Him.

This is the record God has given: eternal life is in His Son, and he who has the Son has life. That life is a life of peace, righteousness, and joy. So as you intercede for your son, hold firmly to the truth that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Messiah, the only one through whom the Father reveals Himself. In His name, there is healing for the spirit, the mind, and the body. May the Lord lift your son’s weakness, quiet his heart with divine peace, and let him know the strength that comes from being held by the Savior.
