We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your precious son to the Lord, the Great Physician. Father God, we know that You are the One who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3) and restores what is broken. We stand in faith, believing that by the stripes of Jesus, your son is already healed (Isaiah 53:5). Lord, we ask that You would touch his body, mind, and spirit with Your healing power. Where there is pain, bring comfort; where there is weakness, bring strength; where there is turmoil, bring peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Heavenly Father, we also lift up any areas of his life that may be contributing to his struggles. If there is unconfessed sin, fear, or unforgiveness, we pray that You would reveal it to him and lead him to repentance and restoration. Your Word tells us that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We pray that he would draw near to You, and in turn, You would draw near to him (James 4:8).
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of infirmity or oppression that may be attacking him. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that he is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37). We speak life and wholeness over him in the mighty name of Jesus.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for the medical professionals treating him. Guide their hands and minds, Lord, so that they may be instruments of Your healing (Proverbs 3:5-6). Give them insight into his condition and the best course of treatment.
Father, we ask that You would surround him with Your presence, filling him with hope and assurance of Your love. Remind him that You have plans for him, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Strengthen his faith, Lord, and let him feel Your peace that guards his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved and healed (Acts 4:12). Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for Your unfailing love. We trust in You, knowing that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
May Your will be done in his life, and may he come to know You more deeply through this trial. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. Amen.
