We join with you in Jesus' name and lift your husband, your father, your brother, your finances and your own weary heart before our Father, and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved as Acts 4:12 tells us, and it is only through Him that we have access to God as John 14:6 reminds us.
We hear the weight you are carrying, many years of serious medical conditions for your husband, heavy spiritual attack, extreme anger, and the daily pain of hearing him say he wants to be dead, and we do not take those words lightly. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit as Psalm 34:18 says, and we know our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers of the darkness of this world and spiritual forces of wickedness as Ephesians 6:12 says. We rebuke the spirit of death and despair and anger that is oppressing your husband, and we pray he will submit himself to God and resist the devil so that he will flee from him as James 4:7 promises. Wanting to die is not God's will for him, for God says in Jeremiah 29:11 that His thoughts toward us are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give us hope and a future, and we pray your husband will turn from those words of hopelessness and choose life.
We pray for his complete healing as God wills, physically, spiritually and emotionally, for He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds as Psalm 147:3 says, and He forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases as Psalm 103:3 says. We ask the Lord to bring healing to his body, to calm his mind and emotions, to lift the anger that so easily entangles, remembering Ephesians 4:26 to be angry and do not sin and do not let the sun go down on your wrath. We pray for wisdom and self control for him to take his medications as prescribed, for our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit as 1 Corinthians 6:19 says and caring for the body God has given is part of honoring Him, and we ask for Your mercy that the implant will work successfully and bring relief according to Your perfect will, for we know when we ask according to Your will You hear us as 1 John 5:14 assures us. We also understand how difficult it is when he has overdone it physically and becomes argumentative, and while ignoring provocation can be wise, we encourage you with Proverbs 15:1 that a gentle answer turns away wrath, and to continue to show the love and patience of a godly wife within the sanctity of marriage, not growing weary in doing good as Galatians 6:9 says, while also seeking help from trusted pastors, counselors and medical providers to bear this burden with you and to keep him safe when he speaks of death.
We lift your elderly father and your younger brother to the Lord as well, asking for His healing hand and sustaining grace upon them, that He would be their strength and healer as Exodus 15:26 declares. We bring your finances before Him, trusting Philippians 4:19 that our God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and Matthew 6:33 to seek first His Kingdom and righteousness and all these things will be added to you.
We pray for the salvation of your entire household, that each of you would confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead and be saved as Romans 10:9 says, and that you would become a new creation in Christ as 2 Corinthians 5:17 promises, for if you have not yet fully surrendered to Him, today is the day to call upon His name and be saved.
Father, we come together in Jesus' name and ask for Your Holy Spirit to intervene powerfully now. Pour out Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus as Philippians 4:7 says, cast all their anxiety on You because You care for them as 1 Peter 5:7 says, bring healing to this husband in body, soul and spirit, remove the desire for death and replace it with hope, soften anger into gentleness, make the implant effective, help him steward his health faithfully, touch the father and brother with health, provide for every financial need, and draw each one into saving faith in Jesus Christ. Let Your will be done and let Your name be glorified in this marriage and family. We trust You to answer according to Your perfect love and wisdom and we thank You for hearing us. Amen.
