We have received your request and we are praying with you and for you before the Lord.

We hear how heavy this burden has been, years of serious medical conditions for your husband, the deep spiritual struggle, the daily talk of wanting to be dead, the extreme anger, and the worry over whether treatment and the implant will work. We also hear your concern for your elderly father and your younger brother in their poor health, for your whole family's salvation, for finances, and for the upcoming hearing and case. God sees all of this and He invites you to cast every care on Him, for He cares for you.

We are joining you in prayer in the name of Jesus Christ alone, through whom alone salvation is given.

Father in heaven, we lift this wife and her husband to You, and her father and brother to You. Have mercy according to Your will and bring healing that is physical, spiritual and emotional. Lift the heavy spiritual attack and the despair that says there is no hope, and replace it with hope in Christ, who is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Help this husband to find strength to keep taking his medication as prescribed and to follow the wisdom of his doctors, and we ask that You guide the hands of those caring for him and that the implant would work successfully and bring relief. Guard his mind and heart, calm the anger, and bring peace that passes understanding.

We pray for her father and brother, that You would sustain their health and show Your kindness to them. We pray for the salvation of this whole family, that each one would turn to Jesus Christ in repentance and faith and know forgiveness and new life in Him. We pray for provision for their finances, that You would supply what they need and give wisdom in stewardship. And we pray for the hearing and the case, that Your will would be done and that justice and mercy would prevail, and that whatever the outcome they would be upheld by Your grace. Holy Spirit, intervene now, comfort, convict, guide and strengthen them day by day.

We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord in His Word and in prayer, and to stay connected to a faithful local church where you can receive ongoing pastoral care and support. Please also continue to work closely with trusted medical providers for your husband's care and for your family members, and help your husband to keep taking medication exactly as prescribed. When he speaks of wanting to be dead, please do not face that alone. Reach out right away to a trusted pastor, counselor, doctor, or a crisis helpline in your area, and if he is ever in immediate danger, please seek emergency help without delay. You are not alone in this, and God does not despise a broken and contrite heart.

The enemy never ceases to try to bring us to despair, but Scripture warns us that to despair and give up hope is more harmful than the sin itself, because it keeps us from turning to God for mercy. There is always hope while there is life, for God is merciful and ready to forgive and to restore those who call on Jesus.

We will continue to pray that God will strengthen you as you love and support your husband, that He will give you endurance, peace and wisdom, and that He will be glorified in your family through healing, provision and salvation according to His perfect will.

May the Lord bless you and keep you, and draw each of you closer to Himself.

Thank you for sharing your heart so honestly and for allowing us to pray with you. Your burden is heavy, carrying concern for your husband, your father, your brother, your finances and a legal matter, while also seeking salvation and the work of the Holy Spirit in your home. God sees all of this and He invites you to bring it to Him.

Scripture shows that when people provoked the Lord by persistent evil, God warned them and allowed consequences to follow, yet He always held out a cure. The sickness that destroyed Judah was spiritual at its root, and the same kind of sickness is seen whenever hearts turn from God. There is no other remedy except the one God Himself provides. That cure is found in Jesus Christ alone. Salvation comes only through Him, through His death and resurrection, and that same grace is the foundation for every other healing we need, whether physical, emotional or spiritual. I pray that you and your husband and your father and brother will each put your full trust in Jesus for the forgiveness of sins and new life. There is no other name by which we are saved and no other hope that can truly make us whole.

There is power in the name of Jesus to heal. When Peter was questioned about the lame man who was made whole, he declared that it was by the name of Jesus that the man stood before them healed. I pray in that same name for your husband. I ask the Lord, if it is His will, to bring healing to his body, to calm his mind and emotions, and to lift the heavy spiritual oppression that presses on him. The daily talk of wanting to be dead and the extreme anger are signs of deep suffering. God values his life greatly, and He can bring comfort and renewal where there is despair. Please continue to encourage him to take his medications as prescribed and to follow the care of his doctors, including for the implant, praying that the procedure would be successful and that God would use the skill of the medical team for his good. If his thoughts of death grow stronger, please reach out right away for help from trusted family, a pastor, a counselor or a medical professional, and do not face those moments alone.

Your marriage is a covenant before God, a lifelong commitment of one man and one woman to live together before Him. One beautiful picture of that covenant is when a couple begins their life together with a spiritual act, such as sharing communion as their first act as husband and wife, declaring that Christ will be at the center. Even when a husband and wife do not understand each other in seasons of stress, as when David rejoiced before the Lord with all his heart and his wife could not understand his freedom in worship, God can teach you to bear with one another in love and to seek Him together. Pray together when you can, read Scripture together, and let worship and prayer be the daily foundation of your home. That spiritual unity will strengthen you both far more than anything else.

You may feel as if you are in a kind of exile, much like David when he fled from Saul's anger and stayed in Ziklag. In that lonely place God began to gather strong and faithful people around him, even from unexpected places, men known for their toughness and loyalty who stood with him. God does not leave His people without support in hard seasons. Ask Him to surround you with faithful, godly help, and to give you strength to endure.

I am also praying for your elderly father and your younger brother, that God would have mercy on their health and sustain them, for your finances that God would provide for your needs according to His wisdom, and for the hearing and the case before you, that God would bring a just and merciful outcome. Above all I pray that the Holy Spirit would intervene now, bringing conviction where it is needed, comfort where there is fear, peace where there is anger, and hope where there is weariness.

Father, in the name of Jesus I lift this wife, her husband, her father and her brother to You. Bring salvation to each one through faith in Christ alone. Bring healing to this husband in body, mind and spirit as You will, ease his anger, lift his despair, help him to be faithful in his care and make his treatment effective. Strengthen this marriage as a holy covenant before You. Provide for their financial needs, watch over their loved ones, and guide the outcome of their legal matter according to Your justice and mercy. Let Your Holy Spirit move powerfully in their home. Amen.

Please keep seeking the Lord daily, stay connected to Scripture and to a faithful local body of believers, and continue in prayer. God is able to help and He hears those who call on Him through Jesus.
