We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your husband and your marriage before our Heavenly Father. We thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and find true healing—spiritually, emotionally, and physically. The Word of God assures us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We stand in agreement with you, believing that it is God’s will for your husband to be healed completely from his surgery, without complications, and for the swelling to subside according to His perfect timing.
Father, we rebuke every spirit of fear and anxiety that seeks to grip this precious wife’s heart. We declare that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and we pray that she would be filled with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Lord, we ask that You would give her wisdom and discernment as she cares for her husband, that she would know when to speak and when to remain silent, when to encourage and when to simply be present. Guide her steps, Lord, and let her trust in You be her anchor in this storm.
We are deeply grieved to hear that your husband is under such a heavy spiritual attack and that he has expressed a desire to be dead. This is not of God, for the thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke the spirit of death and despair in the mighty name of Jesus and command it to flee. We declare that your husband is a child of the Most High God, created for a purpose, and that his life has value and meaning. Father, we pray that You would break the chains of darkness that seek to ensnare him. Let Your light pierce the darkness, and let him encounter Your love in a way that transforms his heart and mind.
We are also concerned about his salvation, for the Word tells us in Romans 10:9, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Lord, we pray that You would soften his heart to receive the truth of the Gospel. Send laborers into his life—people who will speak life, hope, and truth into his situation. Let him see the emptiness of this world and the fullness of life that is found only in You. We pray that he would come to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, that he would be born again by the power of Your Holy Spirit, and that he would walk in the newness of life (Romans 6:4).
We also lift up his physical and emotional well-being. Lord, we ask that You would strengthen his body and give him the discipline to take his medications as directed. Remove any pride or stubbornness that would prevent him from following the care plan set before him. Give him patience in his recovery and fill him with hope for the future. Surround him with Your presence, Lord, and let him feel Your love in tangible ways. Heal his emotions, Father, and replace any feelings of hopelessness with the joy of Your salvation.
We stand on Your promises, Lord, and declare that no weapon formed against this marriage shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for unity, love, and restoration in their relationship. Let them both experience the depth of Your love for them, and let their marriage be a testimony to Your faithfulness. Father, we ask that You would protect their minds from the lies of the enemy and fill them with Your truth. Let them both be rooted and grounded in Your Word, and let their faith grow stronger each day.
In the name of Jesus, we rebuke every spirit of infirmity, depression, and despair that seeks to destroy this family. We declare that Your healing power is at work in your husband’s body, soul, and spirit. We speak life over him and declare that he is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37). We pray that he would rise up in strength and purpose, that he would fulfill the calling You have placed on his life, and that he would walk in the fullness of all You have for him.
Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your faithfulness, knowing that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We ask that You would pour out Your Spirit upon this family, that they would experience Your peace, Your joy, and Your presence in a powerful way. Strengthen them, Lord, and let them feel Your arms wrapped around them in this season.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the name by which we are saved and healed. Amen.
