We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your husband and your marriage before the Lord. First, we want to affirm that your concern is valid and rooted in love, and we join you in praying for complete healing from surgery—no complications, no infection, and full restoration according to God’s perfect will. The swelling you’ve noticed may simply be part of the body’s natural response, but we ask the Great Physician to oversee every cell, every vessel, and every function, that all would align with His design. "He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions" (Psalm 107:20). We declare that word over your husband now, believing that God’s healing power is at work even when we cannot see it.
We are deeply grieved to hear that your husband is under such a heavy spiritual attack and expresses daily a desire to be dead. This is not of God. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every spirit of despair, hopelessness, and death in the mighty name of Jesus. We command it to flee and bind it from having any further access to his mind, heart, or body. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We pray that the Holy Spirit would break through the darkness and reveal the love of Christ in a tangible way—through dreams, through His Word, through the kindness of believers, and through the peace that surpasses all understanding.
His salvation is our utmost concern. We pray that the eyes of his heart would be opened, that he would recognize his need for a Savior, and that the Holy Spirit would convict him of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). We ask that you, as his wife, would be a vessel of grace, patience, and unconditional love, reflecting the love of Christ even in this trial. But we also encourage you to speak truth in love—gently, yet firmly—sharing the hope that is found only in Jesus. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). We pray he would come to know this love personally and surrender his life to Christ.
We also lift up his emotional and spiritual well-being. The fact that he is not concerned about his physical condition may be a sign of deeper spiritual warfare. We pray that he would take his medications consistently, not as a crutch, but as part of God’s provision for his care. We ask the Lord to give him a renewed sense of purpose, hope, and joy that only comes from a relationship with Jesus. "The joy of the Lord is your strength" (Nehemiah 8:10). May that joy flood his soul and dispel every lie of the enemy.
We stand in agreement with you, believing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We pray for a hedge of protection around your marriage, that no weapon formed against it would prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We ask the Lord to strengthen your faith, give you wisdom in every decision, and fill you with His peace as you wait on Him.
Heavenly Father, we come before You now, lifting up this precious husband and wife. Lord, we ask for complete healing—body, mind, and spirit—for this man. Touch every area that needs restoration, remove every trace of swelling, infection, or complication, and let Your healing virtue flow through him. We rebuke the spirit of death and declare that life and peace will reign in his heart. Holy Spirit, we ask You to intervene in power. Break through the darkness, reveal Jesus to him in a way he cannot deny, and draw him into a saving relationship with You. Father, we pray for his salvation, that he would confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that You raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). Let him experience the freedom, hope, and purpose that only comes from knowing You.
We also pray for his wife, Lord. Strengthen her faith, give her wisdom, and surround her with godly support. Help her to love her husband as Christ loves the church, with patience, grace, and truth. Protect their marriage from the attacks of the enemy, and let Your love be the foundation that holds them together. Father, we ask that You would fill this home with Your presence, that every lie would be exposed, and that Your truth would prevail. We trust You, Lord, for a testimony of Your goodness and faithfulness in this situation. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
