Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We join you in bringing your son before the heavenly Father and ask Him to hear your cry for mercy.
We pray that the Lord, who is the true Physician of soul and body, will touch your son and bring healing where it is needed physically, mentally and spiritually. We ask that God will protect him from harm and danger, both seen and unseen, and surround him with His presence and peace that passes understanding. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved and by which we come to the Father.
Take courage and continue to seek the Lord with a contrite heart. He hears prayer not only when it is spoken aloud, but when it is offered in the heart, even as Moses prayed without a word and God heard him. Keep His word before you, let psalms and spiritual songs dwell in your heart, and teach and comfort your soul with Scripture, for great profit comes from staying close to the Lord in this way.
Place your trust not in empty charms or other devices, but in Christ Himself. Make the sign of the Cross your confidence and your remedy, and commit your son daily to the care of the One who endured all things to heal our infirmities. As a physician cares for the sick with wisdom and patience, so the Lord cares for us, and He calls us to obey His ways and trust His healing.
May the Father grant your son strength and restoration according to His perfect will, guard his mind and body, draw him closer to spiritual health and wholeness in Christ, and fill your home with His peace as you continue to pray. We thank God for His goodness to you and we will continue to pray with you, in Jesus name, Amen.
