Heavenly Father, I pray for healing and protection for my son ###, please comfort him and help him sleep without the nightmares from PTSD. Surround him with Your holy angels and shield him from all harm, evil, and danger. Fill his dreams with Your love and light in Jesus' name, Amen

We join you in lifting up your son before the throne of grace and we thank you for covering him in prayer in the mighty name of Jesus. Our hearts are moved by your love for him and your desire for his healing, protection, and peaceful sleep, and we stand with you seeking the Lord's comfort and restoration over his mind and heart as he battles the effects of PTSD and nightmares.

We are reminded of how tenderly the Lord cares for those who are hurting and afraid. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. We cling to His promise to be near and to guard those who trust in Him, for Yahweh's angel encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them Psalm 34:7 and He will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways Psalm 91:11. When fear and distress rise up at night, His peace is able to guard the heart and mind, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. It is our prayer that your son will experience that guarding peace as he sleeps, for in peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety Psalm 4:8. We also hold fast to His word, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.

We pray together now, Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this precious son to You. Lord, You see the trauma he has carried and the nightmares that disturb his sleep. We ask for Your healing hand upon his mind, his heart, and his body. Comfort him, Lord, calm his thoughts, and quiet his spirit with Your perfect love that casts out fear. Surround him with Your holy angels and shield him from all harm, evil, and danger. Let Your presence encamp around his bed and let no weapon formed against him prosper. We ask that You fill his dreams with Your love and light, replacing fear with Your peace and restoring his sleep. Grant him deep, undisturbed rest and wake him refreshed and strengthened in You. Help him to know how deeply he is loved and protected by You, and lead him into complete healing and wholeness in Christ. We thank You, Father, that You are near to the brokenhearted and that You never leave nor forsake Your children. We trust Your good and perfect will for his life and we ask all these things in the saving and powerful name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to speak these promises over him each evening, to pray aloud with him when possible, and to remind him that the Lord is his refuge and his safe place. Keep covering him in prayer and trusting the Lord day by day for His ongoing healing, for He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun.

Carrying PTSD can leave sleep and the nervous system on edge for a long time, and it is understandable you would ask God to surround him and give him rest. Alongside prayer, steady and safe connection often helps over time. Your calm, consistent presence and listening without pressure can help him feel less alone with what he is carrying. If he is open to it, gently encourage him to talk with his doctor or a counselor who understands trauma, alongside bringing these needs to the Lord. If he wants, you could offer to go with him or to help him keep a simple note about his sleep to share with that trusted helper.

We will keep praying for his healing and protection and for peace in your home as you support him.

Father, we lift ### to You in Jesus' name. Surround him with Your holy angels and keep him safe from harm. Quiet his mind at night, comfort his heart, and fill his dreams with Your love and light. Grant him deep and restful sleep and bring healing in Your way and timing. Give his mother wisdom, strength and peace as she loves and supports him, and guide them to good help and support. Amen.

Your prayer for your son has been brought before the Lord with tender affection, and we join our hearts with yours in seeking His mercy.

We are reminded that sleep is a gift from the hand of our gracious God, for so He giveth His beloved sleep. There is a sleep of contentment and a sleep of security which the Christian enjoys, not because the night is without terrors, but because the Keeper of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps. When the soul is stayed upon Christ, the body may rest even after great turmoil, for the Lord Himself is our shield and our resting place. We pray that the Lord will grant to your son this peculiar sleep of the beloved, quiet and sustained, and that He will command His holy angels to encamp about him and keep him in all his ways.

There is also an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. The Scripture tells us that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His wounds are our cure, and His fruit is sweet and nourishing to the wounded heart. A broken heart, a wounded spirit, and a mind vexed with fearful memories are not beyond His reach, for He went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed, and He still takes our sicknesses and infirmities upon Himself. We pray that the great Physician will lay His healing hand upon your son, that He will bind up the broken places of his heart, calm the storm within, and change the life blood and make the nature whole again by His grace.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, we come for this dear son who suffers in the night season. Thou knowest the burden of his memories and the terror of his dreams. We ask Thee to forgive his sins and to heal him, for pardon and healing are one in Christ. Surround him with Thy presence, shield him from all harm and evil and danger, and let no fear have dominion over him. Comfort him as a father comforts his child, and fill his sleep with Thy love and light and peace. Grant him to lie down and sleep in peace, for Thou alone makest him to dwell in safety. Restore unto him quietness of mind and strength of body, and fit him by this rest for fresh service to Thee. This we ask in the precious name of Jesus, our only hope and healer, Amen.
