Healing, protection, sleep

Your son’s need for healing, protection, and sleep belongs before the Lord Jesus, because He has authority over bodies, minds, and every unclean thing. The same Lord who healed the sick and commanded evil spirits to leave is not reluctant to hear this prayer. The real question was never whether He had power. It was whether He would, and time after time He showed that He would. So do not be afraid. Only believe.
Ask the Lord to quiet whatever is tormenting your son’s mind. A mind ruled by fear and confusion is a place of unrest, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace. Pray that every voice or image that has planted terror or distortion in him would be silenced, and that the Lord would uproot it. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
Ask for sleep as a gift, not as a time of vulnerability. The Lord can stand watch while your son sleeps. He is the shepherd who lies across the opening, so that nothing can reach the sheep except through Him. Pray for deep, peaceful, protected sleep. May his body rest, his mind quiet, and his spirit be sheltered.
Finally, ask for protection from all harm and evil. The presence of the Lord is the safest place for him. The same Lord who healed the sick and cast out darkness is able to guard him. Keep bringing him again and again to Jesus.
