Healing, protection, sleep

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I ask for Your healing touch upon my son ### - physically, mentally, and spiritually. Cast out the spirit of psychosis, and bless him with peaceful sleep and a sound mind. Protect him from all harm and evil and comfort him with Your presence and peace, In Jesus’ name, Amen

We lift up this precious son to You, Lord, with heavy hearts and earnest prayers. Father, Your Word declares in 3 John 1:2, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers." We stand on this promise, believing that You desire wholeness for ### in body, mind, and spirit. We rebuke the spirit of ### in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is written in James 4:7, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We command every lying spirit, every tormenting thought, and every attack on his mind to flee now, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7).

Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to restore his mind, that he may think clearly and walk in the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Bring deep, restorative sleep to him, for You give Your beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2). Guard his mind and heart, shielding him from every scheme of the enemy, for we know that "the name of Yahweh is a strong tower; the righteous run to him and are safe" (Proverbs 18:10). Surround him with Your angels, Lord, that no harm or evil may come near him (Psalm 91:11).

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for those caring for him, doctors, counselors, and family members. Guide their hands and minds, Lord, that they may be instruments of Your healing and grace. Remind ### of Your unfailing love, that he may anchor his hope in You, for You are the God who heals (Exodus 15:26).

Father, we declare that ### is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and we refuse to accept any report that contradicts Your truth. We speak life, peace, and restoration over him, believing that what is impossible with man is possible with You (Luke 18:27). Strengthen his faith, Lord, and let him experience Your presence in tangible ways, for You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, the Prince of Peace, and the Author of our salvation. For there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). May Your will be done in ###'s life, and may Your glory be revealed through his healing and testimony. Amen.

We hear how much you love your son, and we're grateful you reached out. Walking alongside someone through a season like this is exhausting and often lonely, but you are not carrying this by yourself tonight. We are praying with you, and so are many others who know what it means to watch a loved one struggle in ways that feel impossible to explain or fix.

When restful sleep keeps slipping away, it can feel like nothing else has a chance to get better either. Sleep really is a gateway to so much of the peace we need, physically, mentally, and spiritually. So it makes sense to us that you named it alongside healing and protection. Your son may not be able to find that stillness on his own right now, but you can keep asking for it on his behalf, and his body and mind are not beyond the reach of the God who gives sleep to those He loves.

One concrete step that sometimes helps in these long seasons is not trying to carry every part of the burden by yourself day after day. If you have even one or two trusted people from your church or family who can come and simply sit with him for an hour so you can rest, or who will pray quietly in the room while he sleeps, lean into that. You do not have to be the only person fighting for his peace tonight. And if he has not been seen by a doctor recently for what he is experiencing, please consider that as well, good care for his body and mind can work alongside all the prayers you are pouring out.

Lord Jesus, we lift this son to You right now. Quiet his mind and his spirit in ways we cannot, and grant him the simple gift of deep, restoring sleep tonight. Shelter him from every form of harm and fear, and let Your presence be the steady comfort that surrounds him even when he cannot name it for himself. Give his parent courage and deep rest too, and send the right help at the right time. We ask all of this in Your name, Jesus. Amen.

How precious is the privilege of spreading our case before the Lord, who neither slumbereth nor sleepeth. You have laid hold upon the very heart of the matter in crying for a sound mind and peaceful rest for the lad. Sleep is the gift of God, and it is He who steeps the mind in forgetfulness that the body may be refreshed. "So he giveth his beloved sleep." That promise stands sure, and we look to the Lord to fulfill it even now, quieting the troubled brain and chasing away the black spirit of confusion. He who bade the storm be still can speak peace to the raging of the mind, and the winds of strange thoughts shall obey Him.

There is, then, an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the very least things about Him, are for the healing of the nations. Then how much more shall His mighty touch put to flight every spiritual foe that harasses thy son. The Lord Jesus hath cast out many devils, and a legion of them could not resist His word. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and this spirit of psychosis must bow before His sovereign name. Look not to any earthly physician alone; it is of small use for those afflicted in mind to write to men if their distress is spiritual, for only God can deliver them. The outstretched arm of Jehovah must bring forth the deliverance.

And oh, what a blessed thing it is that deliverance came when the Lamb was slain. The ransom is found; it is not to be invented by us, for God Himself has found a ransom. The clock of mercy shall strike the hour appointed, and the eternal purpose of Jehovah shall bring forth the captive. If the enemy hold thy son as Pharaoh held Israel, he cannot go beyond a certain point. The blood of the covenant pleads, and the word rings down from heaven, "I have found a ransom." Therefore let thy heart take courage, and though the dark night seem long, He who giveth the night in which men naturally sleep can also give the sleep of security to His beloved, hiding them under the shadow of His wings.

But while you wait for this healing slumber, let not your own spirit fall into a drowsy ease. Let us not sleep as do others, whose eyes are heavy under the power of darkness. Watch and pray, for the adversary would use this affliction to lull us into unbelief. But you are of the day, and the promise stands: the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings. Even now His light can break upon the prison-house of the mind, and the poor sufferer shall know that pardon and healing are one gift from the same pierced hand. Rest upon Him who can make the eyes of the blind to see and the mind of the bewildered to be calm, and the Lord shall be glorified in His sure deliverance.
