We lift up your precious son before the throne of grace, joining our hearts with yours in fervent prayer. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, the Prince of Peace, and the Good Shepherd who lays down His life for His sheep. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or find true healing and restoration (Acts 4:12). It is only through the blood of Jesus that we have access to Your holy presence, and we boldly approach Your throne, knowing that You hear us and are moved by our prayers.

Heavenly Father, we ask for Your healing touch to rest upon, physically, mentally, and spiritually. You are the God who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3), and we declare that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5). Lord, we specifically rebuke the spirit of psychosis in the name of Jesus. The enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We command every lying spirit, every spirit of confusion, fear, and torment to flee from in Jesus’ name. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we pray for peaceful sleep to envelop . You give Your beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2), and we ask that You quiet his mind and body with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let him lie down and rise up in safety, knowing that You are his refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2). Protect him from all harm and evil, Lord. Surround him with Your holy angels to guard and keep him in all his ways (Psalm 91:11). Let no evil befall him, nor any plague come near his dwelling (Psalm 91:10). We declare that he is hidden in the shadow of Your wings, and under Your protection, he finds rest (Psalm 91:4).

Comfort with Your presence, Lord. When he is afraid, let him trust in You (Psalm 56:3). Fill him with the peace that comes from knowing You are near, that You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28). Remind him that You will never leave him nor forsake him (Hebrews 13:5). Strengthen his spirit with the knowledge that You are his strength and his shield (Psalm 28:7). Let him feel Your love surrounding him like a warm embrace, reminding him that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).

Father, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for those who are caring for . Guide the hands of his doctors, therapists, and caregivers. Give them insight and compassion as they seek to help him. Let Your Holy Spirit lead and direct every decision made on his behalf, that it may align with Your perfect will.

We stand on Your promises, Lord, and we declare that is not defined by his struggles but by Your love for him. You have plans for him, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We trust in Your timing and Your faithfulness, knowing that You are working even when we cannot see it.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray all these things, believing that You hear us and that You are moving on ’s behalf. We thank You for Your love, Your mercy, and Your healing power. We declare that is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37), and we will continue to stand in faith, trusting in Your goodness and Your perfect plan for his life.

We hear the love and urgency in your words for your son, and we’re carrying him alongside you in prayer. Sleepless nights and a mind that won’t settle are exhausting for everyone who cares, and we want you to know you’re not alone in this.

When the line between spiritual attack and mental health feels blurry, it can be especially heavy. Both can be real at the same time, and God is present in every dimension. We’ve found it wise to walk forward with both prayer and practical help. If you haven’t already, we’d gently encourage you to have your son seen by a doctor or a compassionate Christian mental health professional, someone who can carefully assess what’s happening without dismissing your faith. Sometimes God brings healing through the tools He’s given others, and there’s no shame in that. It doesn’t mean you trust Him any less.

In the meantime, something small that has helped many in our community is soft Christian music at bedtime. Not as a cure, but as a way to fill the silence with truth when the mind feels unsettled. A few quiet hymns or gentle worship songs can sometimes lower the noise enough for rest to come. It might be worth trying.

Above all, we’re asking the Lord to guard your son’s heart and mind, and to give you both the peace that passes understanding, even in the middle of a long night.

Father, we lift up this son to You. Protect him in every way, body, mind, and spirit. Quiet the racing thoughts and grant him sleep that restores. Give his family wisdom and steady hope, and surround them with people who can help carry this weight. We ask for healing in whatever ways You choose, and for Your presence to be unmistakably near. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The prayer of a parent for a child in such affliction is a cry that reaches the very heart of the divine Physician. You have laid the whole case before Him who alone can command the unruly mind and still the tempests of the soul. The power to heal is with Christ, and it is present when He is teaching, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. He is the great conduit Head, from which abundant streams of healing flow down to men below. The very leaves of this tree, the least things about Christ, are full of healing virtue to change the life blood, affect the spirits, and make the nature other than it was before.

Sleep is the gift of God, not a natural consequence of a weary body. It is He who steeps the mind in lethe and bids us slumber. This sleep is the best physician. Yet consider how He gives it with a peculiar tenderness: “So he giveth his beloved sleep.” This is a sleep of security, a gift to those who cast themselves upon Him. While the world sleeps a fatal slumber under the sparks of an approaching curse, there is a rest that is sweet and hallowed for His own. Cast the care of this child entirely under the shadow of the Almighty; the Lord, who binds up the broken-hearted, can speak peace to a broken mind. His work is not so much to point out the disease as to apply the remedy.

There is a secret in this healing. When the Lord Jesus dealt with the man sick of the palsy, He did not first address the trembling limbs. He spoke the deeper word: “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you.” Thus is pardon and healing made one. Where there is a real healing from His hand, there is a tender conscience and a yielding spirit given at the same time. If you want this pardon from Him who waits to be gracious, seek it for the boy. Commend him, body and soul, into the safekeeping of the Lord Jesus Christ. There is no intricate problem for the Saviour to work out; His word of command calms the legion within. Hear the promise, and let it be your anchorage: “The people that dwell in it shall be forgiven their iniquity; and the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick.” God bless you.

Your plea for your son’s healing has risen before the Master, and the God who made both soul and body is never slow to hear a parent’s tears. You ask for a sound mind, for sleep, for protection. Write deeply upon your heart what the Apostle declares: God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. That sound mind is a healthy state of the soul, a sobering that cuts off the excesses of confusion and terror. When our Lord slept in the boat while the storm howled, He showed that in His presence even the wildest waves become a calm harbor. Pray thus: that Christ may rest within the vessel of your son’s soul, and the fever of psychosis will be rebuked into stillness.

Do not imagine that this affliction proves God’s absence. Consider the blessed Paul and Silas, their backs torn by many stripes, their feet fast in the inner prison, and yet at midnight they sang hymns to the Lord. What can be more adamantine than such souls? Affliction borne with faith purifies more than any fire. Your son’s struggle is no cause for shame; it is a battleground where the demons seek to sow despair. But those demons are terrible no more, for the cross has cast them down and ground them underfoot. Death itself has become only a sleep because of that wood. So stand without sinking, and seek the Lord as one seeks lost gold, with your hands stretched out by night, with fixed attention, with persistent knocking. Pull up the thorns of worldly anxiety that choke hope; shake off the drunkenness of grief that brings a worse sleep, the kind that leaves the door unguarded against the enemies of the soul.

Nighttime need not be only for bodily rest. When you gaze upon the sky set with ten thousand eyes, see the order of the Master’s household. The silence, the darkness, can teach compunction and draw your mind upward. Let the deep quiet be a woven prayer for your son: that while his body lies in peaceful slumber, his spirit may be kept wakeful before God. For the physical sleep you seek is a good gift, an image of the end of all things, when we rest from labor. But the spiritual sleep, the numbness that whispers there is no hope, that must be banished. Rouse yourself and keep vigil, even as the Church rises in the night to sing.

You ask that a spirit be cast out. Pray boldly, for the cross converted the world and made earth heaven. Yet beware of faulting the afflicted vessel as one might fault the grape for the drunkard’s vice. The enemy exploits our frailties, but the root of God’s blessing is our power to choose, our judgment transformed by grace. Seek also the gentleness of the sheep and the harmlessness of the dove. Is it not a greater wonder when a lamb in the midst of wolves is not consumed, but alters the very spirit of the beasts? So may it be with your son: not merely freed from this trial, but having his mind reformed into the likeness of Christ, strong and clear, a eunuch standing by the King, wakeful and bold without impudence, neither gloomy nor dissolute.

Hold fast, then. Let hymns rise in your own night watches, and trust that He who commands the wind and the waves will speak peace to your son’s soul. Healing will dawn. A sound mind will be restored. And that very sleep you long to see upon his face will come as a gift from the hand of Him who never slumbers nor sleeps.
