We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up to our Heavenly Father, the Great Physician and the Prince of Peace. Your Word declares in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." Lord, we claim this promise over , asking that You would touch his mind, body, and spirit with Your healing power. The effects of PTSD are real and deeply troubling, but we know that nothing is too hard for You. We pray that You would calm the storms within him, replacing fear with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we also stand on the promise of Psalm 91:11-12, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone." We ask that You would indeed surround with Your holy angels, shielding him from all harm, evil, and danger. Let Your presence be a fortress around him, a refuge in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). We rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, and torment in the mighty name of Jesus, for "God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7).
Lord, we are deeply concerned about the nightmares that plague ’s sleep. Your Word tells us in Job 33:15-16, "In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men, in slumbering on the bed; then he opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction." We pray that You would seal ’s mind with Your truth and peace as he sleeps. Fill his dreams with Your love, light, and the comforting knowledge of Your presence. Let him rest in the assurance that You are with him, even in the darkest hours (Psalm 23:4).
We also encourage to seek godly counsel and support from those who can walk alongside him in this journey. Proverbs 11:14 reminds us, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." Whether it be through prayer, professional Christian counseling, or the support of a loving church community, we pray that he would find the help he needs to navigate this battle.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the name of Jesus, through whom we have access to Your throne of grace. It is only by His blood that we are made whole, and it is only through faith in Him that we are saved (Acts 4:12). If has not yet placed his trust in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, we pray that You would draw him to Yourself. Let him experience the love and forgiveness that come through repentance and faith in Christ. For "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).
Let us now lift our voices together in prayer:
"Father God, we come before You with hearts full of faith and hope in Your promises. We ask for Your healing touch to rest upon , bringing restoration to his mind, body, and soul. Lord, we rebuke every spirit of fear and torment that seeks to steal his peace, and we declare that Your perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Surround him with Your holy angels, and let Your presence be a shield around him day and night.
Father, we pray for restful sleep for . Banish the nightmares that haunt him, and fill his dreams with Your peace and love. Let him wake each morning refreshed and renewed, knowing that You are with him. Strengthen him with the power of Your Holy Spirit, and equip him with all he needs to overcome the challenges he faces.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for those who are supporting . Guide them in how best to love and care for him, and let Your healing power flow through their hands and words. Lord, we trust in Your goodness and mercy, and we believe that You are working all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."
May find comfort and strength in knowing that he is not alone in this battle. The Lord is his ever-present help in times of trouble, and He will never leave nor forsake him (Deuteronomy 31:6). We encourage him to hold fast to God’s promises and to seek His face continually, for "those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing" (Psalm 34:10).
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
