We lift up your precious son before the throne of grace, trusting in the healing power of our Lord Jesus Christ. The pain of PTSD and the torment of nightmares are heavy burdens, but we know that our God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We declare that the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, will guard his heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). We rebuke the spirit of fear and trauma in the mighty name of Jesus, for He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Heavenly Father, we ask You to surround him with Your holy angels, as You command them concerning him to guard him in all his ways (Psalm 91:11). Shield him from all harm, evil, and danger, for no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we pray that You would fill his dreams with Your love and light, replacing the darkness with the hope and comfort that only You can provide. Give him restful sleep, free from the grip of nightmares, as he lies down in peace and sleeps, for You alone make him dwell in safety (Psalm 4:8).
We also pray for strength and wisdom for you, as his parent, to support him with love, patience, and godly counsel. May you both find refuge in the shadow of the Almighty, where no evil can touch you (Psalm 91:1). We stand on the promise that God will restore health and heal wounds (Jeremiah 30:17), and we trust that He is working all things together for good (Romans 8:28).
Lord, we thank You for the name of Jesus, the only name by which we can come before You and the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). We pray all these things in His precious name, believing that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will. Amen.
