We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious son to our Heavenly Father. We recognize that true healing—physical, mental, and spiritual—comes only from the Lord, who is the Great Physician. The request for deliverance from the spirit of psychosis is a serious one, and we stand in agreement, for Scripture declares, *"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed"* (Luke 4:18 WEB). We rebuke every lying spirit that seeks to torment this young man, for Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8).
We pray for peaceful sleep and a sound mind, as the Word assures us, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). Let the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We also plead the blood of Jesus over him, declaring that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). May the Lord surround him with ministering angels to protect him from all harm and evil, for He commands His angels concerning us to guard us in all our ways (Psalm 91:11).
Father, we ask that You draw near to this son in his time of need. Let him feel Your comforting presence, knowing that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Strengthen his faith, Lord, and remind him that You are his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). If there are areas in his life where he has not fully surrendered to You, we pray for conviction and repentance, for it is only in Christ that we find true rest and restoration.
We also lift up his family, who are undoubtedly carrying this burden with him. Grant them wisdom, patience, and endurance as they walk this difficult path. Remind them that their hope is in You, and that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
Lord, we declare that this son is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and we stand on Your promise that by Your stripes, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5). We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. May he experience Your peace that passes all understanding, and may his mind be renewed by the washing of the water of Your Word (Ephesians 5:26). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.
If this son or his family has not yet placed their trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, we urge them to do so without delay. For *"there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12 WEB). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). We encourage them to confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead, and they will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the foundation of all healing, protection, and peace.
