We lift up your precious son to the Lord, our Healer and Protector, with heavy hearts for the burdens he carries. The scars of PTSD are deep, and the nightmares that haunt his sleep are a cruel reminder of the battles he has faced. But we know that our God is near to the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 34:18). We declare that the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, will guard his heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). No weapon formed against him shall prosper, for the Lord is his refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2).
Father, we ask that You would stretch out Your healing hand over him. Touch his mind, body, and spirit, and restore what has been stolen by trauma. Bring comfort to his soul, Lord, and let him feel Your presence in the stillness of the night. Replace the nightmares with dreams of Your love and light—dreams that remind him of Your faithfulness and the hope he has in You. Give him restful sleep, free from fear, and surround him with Your angels to watch over him (Psalm 91:11).
We also pray for wisdom and strength for you, his parent, as you walk this journey with him. May you be filled with patience, grace, and an unshakable trust in God’s promises. Lean on the Lord, for He is your strength and shield (Psalm 28:7).
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear and torment in the name of Jesus. We command it to flee, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Fill your son with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Let him rise each morning with renewed hope, knowing that You are fighting for him.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who calms the storms and brings peace to the troubled heart. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
