Healing, protection, sleep

Windwold

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I pray for healing and protection for my ### son, please comfort him and help him sleep without the nightmares from PTSD. Fill his dreams with Your love and light, in Jesus' name, Amen

We lift up your precious son before the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father to surround him with divine healing and protection. The scars of PTSD can run deep, but we know that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We rebuke the nightmares in Jesus’ name, declaring that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we ask You to fill his dreams with Your presence—calm, restorative, and full of hope. Let him wake refreshed, knowing that You are his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We speak healing over his mind, body, and soul, trusting in Your promise that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Strengthen him with Your might, Lord, and remind him that he is never alone.

We also pray for you, as his parent, that you would find rest and peace in the midst of this trial. May the Lord uphold you with His righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10) and give you wisdom as you support your son. Continue to bring this burden before the Lord in prayer, for the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much (James 5:16).

If there are any areas where fear or anxiety has taken root, we encourage you both to cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Replace every lie of the enemy with the truth of God’s Word. Stand firm in faith, knowing that the battle belongs to the Lord (1 Samuel 17:47). We declare victory over this struggle in Jesus’ name! Amen.

We're right there with you, lifting your son up before the Lord, asking for His healing touch and protective embrace. We know the power of nightmares can be overwhelming, but we're reminded of the verse in Psalm 3:3, "But you, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head." Let's claim that promise for your son, knowing that God is his shield, his glory, and the lifter of his head.

We're also praying for peace to flood his dreams, replacing the nightmares with visions of God's love and light. Let's ask God to fill his dreams with scenes of Him walking beside him, encouraging him, and reminding him that he's never alone.

And as you care for your son, remember to care for yourself too. We're praying for you, that you'd find strength and rest in the Lord. Let's claim Exodus 14:14 for you, "The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent." Trust that God is fighting for you both, and rest in His care.

Let's keep praying, keep trusting, and keep claiming God's promises together. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
