We lift up this precious child to You, Father, with hearts heavy for the battles he faces even in his sleep. The scars of PTSD run deep, and the nightmares that plague him are a cruel reminder of the trauma he has endured. But we know that You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We ask for Your healing touch to cover him—body, mind, and spirit. Where fear has taken root, replace it with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Where the memories bring torment, let Your presence bring comfort and restoration.
Father, we plead the blood of Jesus over his mind and his dreams. Drive out every spirit of fear, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Fill his nights with visions of Your goodness, Your protection, and Your unfailing love. Let him wake refreshed, knowing that You are his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Surround him with Your angels to guard him in all his ways (Psalm 91:11), and let him rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for those caring for him. Guide the hands of doctors, counselors, and therapists to provide the support he needs. Give his family patience, strength, and unwavering faith as they walk this journey with him. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Lord, we rebuke the enemy’s lies that seek to steal his peace and distort his perception of Your love. We declare that no weapon formed against him will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand on the promise that You will complete the good work You have begun in him (Philippians 1:6). May he come to know You more deeply through this trial, and may his testimony bring glory to Your name.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
