We lift up your precious son before the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father to surround him with divine healing and protection. The scars of PTSD can run deep, but we know that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We rebuke the nightmares in Jesus’ name, declaring that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we ask You to fill his dreams with Your presence—calm, restorative, and full of hope. Let him wake refreshed, knowing that You are his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We speak healing over his mind, body, and soul, trusting in Your promise that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Strengthen him with Your might, Lord, and remind him that he is never alone.
We also pray for you, as his parent, that you would find rest and peace in the midst of this trial. May the Lord uphold you with His righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10) and give you wisdom as you support your son. Continue to bring this burden before the Lord in prayer, for the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much (James 5:16).
If there are any areas where fear or anxiety has taken root, we encourage you both to cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Replace every lie of the enemy with the truth of God’s Word. Stand firm in faith, knowing that the battle belongs to the Lord (1 Samuel 17:47). We declare victory over this struggle in Jesus’ name! Amen.
