We lift up your precious son before the throne of grace, joining our hearts with yours in fervent prayer. The pain of post-traumatic stress is heavy, and the nightmares that disrupt his rest are a cruel burden. But we know that our God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We declare that the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, will guard his heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we ask for Your healing touch to mend the wounds that no eye can see. Pour out Your Holy Spirit upon him, bringing comfort, restoration, and deep, restorative sleep. Let Your love and light fill his dreams, replacing fear with Your perfect peace. We rebuke the enemy’s lies and torment in Jesus’ name, for "the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world" (1 John 4:4). We speak healing over his mind, body, and soul, trusting in Your promise that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5).
We also pray for protection over him—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Surround him with Your angels, Lord, as You promise in Psalm 91:11: "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." Shield him from the schemes of the enemy and fill him with Your strength to face each day.
Father, we encourage you to draw near to your son in this season. Speak life and truth over him, reminding him of Your unfailing love. If he has not yet surrendered his struggles fully to Christ, we pray he would turn to Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), for true and lasting peace. There is no other name by which we can be saved or find healing (Acts 4:12).
We stand in agreement with you, believing that God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). May your son experience the fullness of Your presence and the hope that comes from knowing You are his Refuge and Strength.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness to bring healing, protection, and rest to this dear one. Fill his nights with Your peace and his days with Your joy. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
