We join you in lifting up your son before the throne of God, seeking healing, protection, and peaceful sleep for him. We stand in agreement with you, trusting in the power of praying in Jesus' name.
Let us remember God's promises, as written in Psalm 4:8, "I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for you, Lord, alone make me dwell in safety." And in Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your healing touch for our dear brother in Christ. You know the struggles he faces due to PTSD, the sleepless nights, and the torment of nightmares. We ask that You comfort him, grant him peaceful sleep, and protect his mind and body from the effects of trauma.
We pray that Your Holy Spirit would minister to him, reminding him of Your unfailing love and presence. Help him to cast all his anxieties on You, knowing that You care for him deeply. In Jesus' name, we rebuke the spirit of fear and trauma, commanding it to leave and make way for Your peace and healing.
Father, we also pray for his faith to be strengthened during this time. Help him to fix his eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Lastly, we pray that you draw him closer and he would lean on you and that you would be the abiding presence within him. We ask that he would trust more in you knowing you are always there for him as you are for us all.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear brother or sister, as you stand in faith believing for your son's healing and protection. Continue to trust in God's goodness and faithfulness, knowing that He is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.
