We join you in lifted up your son in prayer, pleading the blood of Jesus over his life for healing, protection, and peaceful sleep. We stand with you in agreement, trusting in the power of prayer and the promises of God's Word.
Let us remember that our God is a God of comfort and healing. As it is written in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." and in 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17, "Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts and establish you in every good work and word."
We pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We lift up our friend's son to You, asking for Your healing touch on his life. Lord, we know that You are the Great Physician, and nothing is impossible for You. Please bring complete healing to his body, soul, and spirit. Comfort him in his struggles, and help him to sleep peacefully, free from nightmares and the effects of PTSD.
We pray for Your protection over him, shielding him from all harm and danger. We rebuke the spirit of fear and trauma, and we ask You to fill him with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear. Help him to trust in You, even in the darkest hours of the night.
Lord, we also pray for his spiritual well-being. Draw him close to You, and help him to know Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior if he does not yet. We pray that he would find his strength and hope in You alone. As Your word says, if he does not know Jesus Christ, please send someone to him to explain the gospel of Jesus Christ. The good news is that you sent Jesus to earth to save us from our sins, and that by believing in Him and His death and resurrection we may be saved.
Father, we ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to stand on God's Word, trusting in His promises for your son. Keep praying and believing, for the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much (James 5:16). Remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand (Ephesians 6:10-13).
Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).
