healing prayer

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up little in prayer, asking for His healing touch. The Bible assures us that God is near to those who call upon Him in faith, and we stand on His promises today. In James 5:14-15, we are reminded, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."

Heavenly Father, we humbly ask that You stretch forth Your healing hand upon little . We rebuke this fever in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is written in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." Lord, we declare that by the stripes of Jesus, little is healed (Isaiah 53:5). Strengthen his body, restore his health, and grant him comfort and peace. We trust in Your mercy and love, knowing that You are the Great Physician.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for his parents and caregivers, that they may seek godly counsel and medical care as needed, while always trusting in Your sovereign will. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect plan for little . May Your name be glorified in this situation, and may Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard the hearts and minds of this family. In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

If little or his family have not yet placed their trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we gently encourage them to do so. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we invite you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and rose again, and receive Him as your Lord and Savior. This is the first and most important step toward true healing and eternal life.

We're so sorry to hear about little 's fever, it’s hard to see a child unwell, and your care for them is clear. We join you right now in praying for healing and for God's peace over your household.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this precious child to You. You love them even more than we do, and You know exactly what they need. We ask You to cool this fever, bring rest and recovery to their small body, and give wisdom to the adults watching over them. Calm any worry and surround this family with Your presence. We trust that You hear us and that You are able to do more than we can ask or imagine. In Jesus' name, amen.

As you continue caring for , don't hesitate to reach out to a doctor if the fever persists or if you notice anything else concerning, pursuing medical help is not a lack of faith but a practical way to love and care for them. We'll be praying with you.

What bond has a fever upon a child of the covenant? None that can stand against the touch of the Master’s hand. Our Lord Jesus came into Peter’s house and saw his wife’s mother lying sick of a great fever, and He touched her hand, and the fever left her. Has He not the same power this very hour? The fever that burns in that little frame is not beyond His command; He who made the body can rebuke its disorders with a word.

Let us then plead the promise never to leave nor forsake. Has He not said, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee”? Never, no never, no never. The mother presses her child to her bosom with tender vows, yet she may be taken, but the Everlasting Father cannot forget His own. Though this little one be weak and helpless, the Lord’s eye is upon him, and His compassions fail not. We ask not only for the cooling of the fevered brow but for the Sun of Righteousness to rise with healing in His wings. The very leaves of the Tree of Life are for healing; the least thing about Christ brims with restoring virtue. Touch but the hem of His garment, and the fiery heat must yield.

And remember, beloved, healing and forgiveness walk hand in hand. When Jesus dealt with the palsied man, He first spoke pardon, then commanded the body to rise. The great fever of sin is the deeper danger, but where there is even the faintest cry of faith, the Great Physician applies the double cure. Let this trial drive the household nearer to the bleeding side of Jesus. The healing power was conspicuously present when Christ was teaching; let the Word dwell richly, and faith shall spring up, for faith comes by hearing.

Be of good cheer, then. The Lord rebuke this fever, and let the child arise to serve Him all his days. He is not merely able to heal, He is willing. The sick of the palsy found forgiveness and healing together, and so shall this little one be raised up for the glory of God. Fear not; only believe.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The fever that afflicts your little one is indeed a cause for grief, but you have turned to the right source. Recall how our Lord entered the house of Peter and found his wife’s mother lying sick with a fever. He touched her hand, and not only did the fever depart, but strength returned at once, so that she rose and served them. No physician could accomplish this; after fevers break, the body remains weak for many days. Yet Christ’s healing is complete and immediate, for He is the Lord of all creation. Therefore, take courage. The same power that restored that woman is able now to restore your child.

But as you ask for prayer, examine your heart. Do you cling to any other remedy in secret? Some, when their children fall ill, resort to amulets and charms, saying, “The old woman is a Christian, and she calls upon God.” This is nothing but idolatry dressed in pious words. If you are among the faithful, what need have you of trinkets? The Cross is your only weapon, your only remedy. Sign it upon the child’s forehead and upon your own; call upon the name of Jesus. To use such charms, even if they seem harmless, is to abandon the fountain of living water and dig broken cisterns. It is to flee from the Physician and run to a poisoner. Be a martyr in your resolve: better to endure the fever with faith than to seek deliverance through forbidden means. For the mother who refuses amulets for her sick child sacrifices her son in her heart, and she is counted a martyr. The one who yields, though she call herself Christian, has already committed the act of idolatry.

Let your prayer be watchful and fervent, not drowsy and weighed down with food or care. Remember Hannah. She rose from the table lightly, and poured out her soul before the Lord with many tears, begging for a son. She did not bargain with money or make a brief request; she offered the child back to God entirely. You also, offer this little one to the Lord, not for a year or two, but all the days of his life. Pray with tears, with groaning, with the whole heart. Say, “Lord, God of hosts, look upon the affliction of your servant and heal my child, and I will give him to you all his days.” Such prayer pierces the heavens.

Yet understand that Christ heals the body chiefly to heal the soul. In the Gospel, when a father came to Him pleading for his dying son, the Lord rebuked his unbelief, showing that the miracle was meant to restore the father’s soul no less than the son’s health. So perhaps this fever is permitted that you might draw near to God with greater earnestness, or that the child might grow to love the Lord who delivered him. Do not therefore seek only the quenching of the fever, but the renewal of your whole household in faith and holiness.

As for you who stand with this parent in prayer, be not like the crowd rushing to the theater, gray in hair but childish in mind. Let the elders in the church be sober, and let all watch in prayer. The enemy desires to sift you, but Christ ever lives to intercede. I commend this little one to the Lord, and I urge you all to do likewise, with fasting and supplication. May the God who rebuked the fever in Peter’s house rebuke this fever now, and restore the child to perfect health, for the glory of His name and the strengthening of the faithful. Amen.

Fever can feel so unsettling in a little one, draining their bright energy and leaving worried hearts in its wake. I am joining you in prayer right now, calling on the Lord who has full authority over every sickness. We see in the Gospels how Jesus simply touched Peter’s mother-in-law by the hand, and the fever left her. That same living power has not diminished; He remains tender toward children and attentive to the cries of those who love them.

I think of the times we have laid hands on a child burning with heat, and as prayer went up, the forehead cooled beneath our touch. Healing can come in a moment or unfold gradually through the body’s God-given processes, and I do not claim to understand why the timing differs from case to case. But I do know that we are called to persist, to bring the need before Him with the simple, stubborn trust of a child.

Lord Jesus, we ask You now to rebuke this fever. Let the heat flee from this small body. Restore strength, bring peaceful rest, and let appetite and energy return. Surround the whole household with Your calm assurance, and let them see Your compassionate hand at work. In Your holy name, amen.
