Disciple of Prayer
A compressed nerve in my back is causing intense pain and numbness in my left arm. Traditional medicine helping very little. Also Restless Leg Syndrome interfering with sleep and rest. Relief very much needed. Thank you . ###

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your struggle with the compressed nerve in your back and the relentless discomfort of Restless Leg Syndrome. The pain and numbness you describe are not just physical burdens, they weigh on your spirit, your sleep, and your daily life. We know the Father sees your suffering, and we stand with you in faith, believing in His power to heal and restore.

The Word of God reminds us in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." Even in this trial, the Lord is near, and His healing touch is not limited by the failures of earthly medicine. We also hold fast to James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up." Your faith, combined with the prayers of the saints, is a powerful weapon against this affliction.

We rebuke the spirit of infirmity that seeks to steal your strength, your rest, and your peace. In the name of Jesus Christ, we command the pain to subside, the nerve to be freed, and the restlessness in your legs to cease. The enemy has no authority over your body, for you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We declare that the same God who healed the lame, restored sight to the blind, and made the paralyzed walk is at work in you today.

Let us pray together:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases. Lord, we lift up to You, asking for Your divine touch to bring healing to their back, relief to their arm, and peace to their legs. We speak life and restoration over every compressed nerve, every restless muscle, and every weary bone. Father, where medicine has fallen short, Your power is limitless. We ask for supernatural healing, whether through miraculous intervention or through the wisdom You provide to doctors and caregivers. Lord, grant the patience to endure this trial and the faith to trust in Your timing. We declare that by Your stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on Your promise that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Strengthen their body, calm their mind, and grant them the deep, restorative sleep they need. We thank You for Your faithfulness, for You are the God who never slumbers nor sleeps (Psalm 121:4), and You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this time, not just for physical healing, but for spiritual renewal. Sometimes, the Lord uses seasons of pain to draw us closer to Him, to refine our faith, and to teach us dependence on His strength. Psalm 119:71 says, "It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I may learn Your statutes." If this trial is leading you to seek Him more deeply, embrace that journey. Stand on His promises, surround yourself with believers who will pray with you, and do not lose heart.

If you have not yet done so, consider asking your church elders or trusted spiritual leaders to anoint you with oil and pray over you, as instructed in James 5. There is power in the corporate faith of the body of Christ. Also, examine your heart and life for any areas where sin may be hindering your healing. While not all sickness is a direct result of sin, unconfessed sin can block our prayers (Psalm 66:18). Confess anything the Holy Spirit brings to mind, and receive the cleansing and forgiveness that Christ offers (1 John 1:9).

Finally, we want to gently remind you of the importance of approaching God in the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or healed (Acts 4:12). Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6), and it is through His sacrifice that we have access to the Father. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we invite you to do so today. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is the first and greatest healing you can receive, and from that foundation, all other healing flows.

We will continue to stand in faith with you, believing for your complete restoration. May the Lord bless you with His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and fill you with hope as you wait on Him. You are not alone in this battle, we are fighting alongside you, and our God is fighting for you.

We ache with you as we picture the toll that unrelenting pain and sleep deprivation take, physically, yes, but also on your spirit. It can feel so lonely when every night becomes a battle for rest and every day is shadowed by that electric numbness in your arm. We are genuinely sorry you’re walking through this.

One thing we’ve seen in our own lives is that persistent pain often dulls our capacity to hope, but hope is stubborn, and God is not far when we’re hurting. Even while you wait for relief, your courage in reaching out matters. It is wise to keep pursuing medical answers. If you haven’t yet been able to see a neurologist or a doctor who specializes in nerve pain or movement disorders, please keep advocating for yourself, sometimes the next appointment or a fresh set of eyes on a nerve compression can make a difference. You are worth that persistence.

As you seek physical help, we also want to remind you that you’re not alone at 3 a.m. when your legs won’t settle. You are held in the prayers of people who care, and we believe God meets us in the weary hours. We are praying that small measures of comfort would find you even now, a moment of ease, a night when sleep comes more gently, a reprieve from the worst of the numbness.

Lord Jesus, you know what it is to suffer in your body. Please draw near to this one who needs your touch. Grant them relief from nerve pain, calm their restless limbs, and restore deep, healing sleep. Give wisdom to their doctors and sustain their spirit when the road feels long. We ask for your mercy and your peace to settle over them tonight. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

When the body is racked with pain and sleep becomes a stranger, it is a heavy trial indeed. The compressed nerve that sends its fire through the arm and the restless limbs that will not be still, these are not light afflictions. The Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd, went about healing all that were oppressed, and His eyes were ever quick to spy out the lame and the crippled. He is not unmindful of your suffering.

You cry out for relief, for that blessed gift of sleep which He gives to His beloved. How often the weary frame and throbbing brain long for it, and when night follows night with no rest, the soul is brought low. Yet remember, it is in these very seasons that the Lord often draws near. There is a sleep of security, a contentment that comes not from ease of circumstances but from casting every care upon Him who cares for you. The poor limbs are weary, and sleep is a means of refreshment, a mercy for which to pray and wait.

Do not think that your pain is unnoticed. The Shepherd left the ninety-nine to seek the one that gave Him pain. His labor is for the straying, the suffering, the sleepless one. The intensity of your present trial will only make the relief, when it comes, all the sweeter. And come it will, whether in this life or in that blessed state where all pain is forgotten. That gentle touch of His love, whether it comes through gradual healing, a calm mind, or the final sleep in Jesus, will end all sorrow. Fix your eyes upon Him who in the garden’s shade woke His weary ones. He can set your sleep-bound spirit free, and He will give you rest in His due time.

The sharp pain in your arm and the restlessness that steals your rest are not hidden from the Lord. His own body knew weariness and the need for sleep; He lay down on the boat’s cushion while the storm raged. He understands your exhaustion. Yet take care, I entreat you, not to let your heart murmur or grow bitter. It is written, “Do all things without murmurings and disputings,” for when we grumble we cut away our reward. Give thanks to God in all things, both in the trial and in every small relief. He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps; when sleep eludes you, let those wakeful hours become a time to lift your soul to Him in humble, reverent prayer. The body’s ailments are bitter medicine, but they work for our salvation if we receive them with patience. May the Lord, who calmed the sea with a word, speak peace to your afflicted nerves and grant you the rest you need, that you may serve Him with a thankful heart.

Right now the pain and numbness from that compressed nerve can feel overwhelming, and restless legs stealing your sleep only compounds the exhaustion. It’s easy to wonder why relief remains so thin. I was reminded recently how the ozone layer up in the atmosphere, that shield that protects all life below, is actually unbelievably fragile. If you compressed the entire layer, it would measure only about three millimeters thick. Yet God placed it there to sustain everything on earth. In a similar way, a single compressed nerve in your back, small as it is, can radiate such intense distress. The body’s signals can scream louder than we expect. But the same God who designed that delicate atmospheric covering also knows every intricate pathway of your spine and arm. He isn’t put off by what doctors struggle to fix. He invites us to bring every ache, every restless night, right to Him.

So much needless pain comes simply because we don’t carry everything to God in prayer. You’re doing that, and that honors Him. When relief doesn’t come quickly, the temptation can rise to give in to an intense craving for immediate answers, to lie awake rehearsing frustrations, to despair that this will never lift. The Israelites in the wilderness had their own intense craving for the meat they once had in Egypt, and it consumed them to the point of sickness. They couldn’t receive what God was providing in the moment because they were fixated on what they lacked. Your weariness is real, but don’t let it drive you into a frenzy of worry or resentment. Stand still. Wait. Pour it out before the Lord and then let your soul rest in who He is, even if your legs won’t settle.

He knows you need sleep. He knows you need release from that nerve pain. Keep asking, keep trusting, and while you wait, ask Him to fill you with enough grace for just this one day, like manna that can’t be stored up but shows up fresh each morning. May He guard your mind with a peace that doesn’t make sense, and may He bring the healing and relief you so desperately need, in His perfect timing.

We are so grateful you shared your burden with us and allowed us to stand beside you in prayer for healing from the compressed nerve in your back and the restless legs that steal your rest. Every time we lift these needs before our Father, we ask Him to release the pain, restore full feeling to your arm, quiet the restless movements, and grant you deep, renewing sleep.

If the Lord has already touched your body and brought relief, we would love to hear your praise report so we can rejoice with you. If the struggle continues, please post your request again; we are eager to keep lifting you up until you see His healing hand at work. May the Great Physician draw near, comfort you in every moment, and lead you into the wholeness that only He can give. We pray this in Jesus’ Name.
