We join you in lifting up your husband and your marriage to the Lord, praising Him for His faithfulness and mercy. It is indeed God’s will to heal, for He is the Great Physician who restores both body and soul. Your husband’s suffering—both physical and emotional—is deeply heartbreaking, and we stand with you in crying out to the Lord for His divine intervention.
The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). The depression, anger, and despair your husband is experiencing are not from God. These struggles can be influenced by the constant barrage of negative news, which fuels fear and hopelessness. We urge you to encourage him to turn away from the news and instead fill his mind with God’s Word, which brings peace and renewal (Romans 12:2). The Bible tells us, *"Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things"* (Philippians 4:8). This is a spiritual battle, and we must fight it with the weapons of prayer, Scripture, and the power of the Holy Spirit.
Your desire to support your husband and grow as a person is beautiful and pleases the Lord. He will give you the patience, strength, and wisdom you need as you lean on Him. Remember, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). You are not alone in this—God sees your faithfulness and will sustain you.
We also encourage you both to seek godly counsel, whether through your church or a trusted Christian counselor. Isolation can deepen despair, but fellowship and accountability can bring healing. *"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective"* (James 5:16).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious husband and wife. Lord, You are the God who heals, and we ask for Your miraculous touch upon this man’s body and mind. Rebuke the spirit of depression, anger, and despair that has taken hold of him, and replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Lord, we pray for complete restoration—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Give him the strength to turn away from the things that feed his distress and instead fix his eyes on You.
Father, we ask for wisdom and patience for his wife as she supports him. Fill her with Your love, compassion, and endurance. Bind them together in unity and faith, and draw them both closer to You. Let their home be a place of refuge, filled with Your presence and hope.
Holy Spirit, intervene powerfully in their lives. Break every chain of bondage and fill them both with Your joy and strength. Lead them to a church where they can grow together in faith and find community and support. We declare healing and wholeness over their marriage and their lives, trusting in Your promises.
Lord, we thank You that You hear our prayers and that You are at work, even now. We praise You for the victory that is already won through Jesus Christ. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in their lives. In Jesus’ precious and holy name, we pray. Amen.
Stay steadfast in prayer, dear sister. The Lord is near, and He will not abandon you. Keep speaking life and truth over your husband, and trust that God is working even in the waiting. *"Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit"* (Romans 15:13).
