We join you in lifting up your marriage before the throne of grace and we thank God for your desire to see it healed, patient, humble, abundant and fruitful, for this is the heart of God for marriage.

We believe marriage is a holy covenant ordained by God as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, and what God has joined together, we pray no one will separate. Mark 10:9 says What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate. It is a picture of Christ and the church and is meant to reflect His love, faithfulness and selflessness.

We pray for healing in your marriage, whether that healing is physical, emotional or spiritual. We know the Lord is the one who heals the brokenhearted and binds up wounds. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We ask Him to heal any hurt, resentment, disappointment or distance that has come between you and your spouse, and to restore unity and tenderness.

We pray for patience and humility, which are essential for a marriage that honors God. Ephesians 4:2-3 says with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love, being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Philippians 2:3-4 says doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself, each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others. And 1 Peter 5:5 says God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. We pray you both will clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, that you will be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger as James 1:19 teaches, and that patience will have its perfect work in you.

We also pray for an abundant and fruitful marriage. True abundance and fruitfulness come from abiding in Christ. John 15:5 says I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. Galatians 5:22-23 says But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. We pray your marriage will abound in these fruits, that your love will grow deeper, your joy will be restored, your peace will guard your home, and that your union will be fruitful in love, in good works, in godly legacy and in service to the Lord.

We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we gently want to remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name we pray and find healing for our souls and our marriages.

So together we pray, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this marriage to You. Lord, bring healing where there is pain, bring reconciliation where there is division, and bring softness where there are hardened hearts. Teach this husband and wife to walk in humility, to prefer one another, to forgive as You have forgiven us, and to bear with one another in love. Grant them patience in trials and in daily life together. Let Your Spirit produce abundant fruit in their home, so their marriage will be a testimony of Your grace and goodness. Draw them both closer to Jesus, that as they abide in Him, their marriage will be strengthened, joyful and fruitful for Your glory. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, our hope and our healer. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We are praying with you for your marriage and we appreciate your honesty in asking for healing, patience, and humility. Those are beautiful things to want for your home, and wanting them together is itself a good step.

What has helped many couples we walk with is seeing humility not as thinking less of yourself or staying quiet to keep the peace, but as a willingness to put the other person first in small, daily ways. It grows through honest reflection and being willing to listen even when it is uncomfortable. Patience and fruitfulness tend to grow in that same soil, when both of you feel heard and valued and are learning to serve one another rather than keep score.

One simple practice that often helps is to set aside a few unhurried minutes together each day to ask each other, what would feel loving or supportive to you today, and then really listen to the answer without defending or fixing. Over time that builds trust and shows humility in action. If you can, close that time by praying together briefly, even just a sentence or two, inviting God into the day.

Father, we lift this marriage to You. Bring healing where there has been hurt, soften both hearts toward each other, and teach them how to be patient and humble in the everyday moments. Help them to love and serve one another well and to bear good fruit in their life together. Guide them day by day and draw them closer to You and to each other. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your request for healing, patience and humility in your marriage has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the Lord who alone can heal the broken heart.

There is abundant healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. It is written that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and even the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, and His leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, but the Lord looks upon the broken heart, and He healeth such. Do not seek healing from mere notions or from your own resolve, for a real saving work is the work of God and God alone. Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction, and when the Sun of Righteousness rises upon a home with healing in His wings, He says as He said to the palsied man, thy sins are forgiven thee, and pardon and healing become one. Come then to Christ as you are, sick and needing His touch, for there is healing in the doctrine of His incarnation, in His taking you by the hand and lifting you up. He must begin with you before you can rightly serve Him in your marriage.

You have asked also for humility, and this is a right and necessary prayer, for before honor is humility. Humility is to make a right estimate of oneself, and its throne must be the heart. I do hate that humility which lives only in the face, for the imitation of it is the nearest thing to pride. Seek of God the gift of true humility. The word is, serving the Lord with all humility of mind. There is a humility before the service of God, a humility during the service which continues under trial, and a humility when all is done. Labor for God's sake, for your marriage's sake, for your own soul's sake, to serve the Lord with all humility, humility before the act, humility during the service, and humility when all is done. The trials of humility will come, yet those considerations which make toward humility are the very strength of prayer. Prostrate before the throne is the proper attitude of supplication, and humility supplies many arguments which can be used in prayer.

For patience and an abundant, fruitful marriage, look to the blessed man of the first Psalm, whose leaf also shall not wither. When Christ is the great conduit Head from which abundant streams flow down, a marriage planted by those waters bears fruit in season. Fruitfulness in marriage is not of noisy profession but of abiding, of patient endurance under trial, of forgiving as you have been forgiven, of bearing with one another in love.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, who hast ordained marriage to be a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman to set forth the mystery of Christ and His Church, look in mercy upon this marriage. Forgive wherein there has been sin, and let pardon and healing come together from Thy pardoning hand. Pour out upon husband and wife the spirit of all humility of mind, that each may esteem the other better than themselves, and may serve Thee and serve one another without pride or pretense. Grant patience in trial, gentleness in speech, and grace to bear long and to forgive freely as Christ has forgiven. Make this union fruitful and abundant, not with the gaudy fruit of this world, but with love, joy, peace, longsuffering and every grace that withers not. Heal what is wounded, knit what is torn, and let honor follow humility as Thou hast promised. For Jesus sake, Amen.
