We join with you in lifting up your need for healing, and we are grateful that you have brought this request before the Father in the mighty name of Jesus. It is through His name alone that we have boldness and confidence to approach the throne of grace, knowing that He intercedes for us and that our Heavenly Father hears us. Your prayer is already aligned with Scripture, as you have rightly acknowledged the power and authority of Jesus’ name—there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is in His name that we find healing, strength, and hope.
The Word of God assures us that Jesus bore our infirmities and carried our diseases, and by His stripes, we *are* healed (Isaiah 53:4-5, 1 Peter 2:24). While we do not always understand the timing or the method of God’s healing—whether it comes gradually, instantly, or through the hands of physicians—we trust in His sovereign goodness. He is the Great Physician, and His will is perfect, even when our understanding is limited. We encourage you to continue placing your faith in Him, knowing that He is working all things together for your good, even in this season of physical discomfort (Romans 8:28).
That said, we also recognize that God often uses means to accomplish His purposes, including the wisdom and skill of doctors. While you have prayed for healing *without* further surgery, we pray that the Lord would guide you with His peace and clarity about the path He has for you. If surgery is part of His plan, may He prepare your heart and body for it, granting you favor with your medical team and a swift, complete recovery. If His will is to heal you supernaturally, may that healing manifest quickly and completely, restoring your shoulder to full strength and function. Either way, we declare that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and we ask the Lord to renew and strengthen you (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
We also urge you to guard your heart against discouragement or fear, for these can weigh heavily on both the spirit and the body. Instead, fix your mind on the promises of God, such as Psalm 34:17-19: *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* Let this truth anchor you as you wait upon the Lord.
Lastly, we encourage you to seek the support of your local church body. James 5:14-15 instructs us, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* There is power in corporate prayer, and the elders of your church can stand with you in faith for your healing.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today on behalf of Your child who is seeking relief and healing in their shoulder. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. We ask that You would stretch out Your hand and touch their body, knitting together every ligament, tendon, and muscle, restoring full function and removing all pain. If it is Your will, we pray for a miraculous healing that testifies to Your power and goodness. Yet, not our will but Yours be done, Father.
Grant them wisdom to know the steps to take, whether through medical intervention or divine intervention, and surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You are with them in this trial, working all things for their good and Your glory. We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement in the name of Jesus, declaring that Your perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).
Father, we also ask that You would use this season to draw them closer to You, that they may know You not only as their Healer but as their Comforter, Provider, and Strength. May they experience Your presence in a deeper way and find joy in the midst of this trial. We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer, and we trust in Your faithfulness to answer according to Your perfect will.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
