We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is carrying the weight of painful memories and deep trauma. Father God, You see the wounds that no one else can see—the scars on the mind and heart left by abuse. We ask You, in the mighty name of Jesus, to bring healing and restoration. Your Word declares in Psalm 147:3, *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."* Lord, we claim this promise over this dear one, asking that You would gently untangle the distressing thoughts and replace them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We rebuke the lies of the enemy that seek to keep this child of God bound in fear, shame, or despair. The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We stand against every spirit of oppression, trauma, and torment in the name of Jesus, declaring that this one is covered by the blood of Christ and set free by His power. We pray for the Holy Spirit to comfort and counsel, bringing clarity where there is confusion and light where there is darkness.
Father, we ask that You would fill this heart with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Help them to release every burden at the foot of the cross, knowing that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Surround them with godly community—believers who will speak life, pray without ceasing, and walk alongside them in this journey of healing. Remind them daily that they are not defined by their past but by the love and redemption found in Christ Jesus.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment as they seek godly counsel, whether through biblical counseling, trusted pastors, or medical professionals who honor You. Your Word tells us in James 5:16, *"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed."* May they find safe spaces to share their story and receive prayer and encouragement.
Lord, we thank You that You are the God who sees (Genesis 16:13) and the God who heals. We trust You to restore what has been broken and to turn ashes into beauty (Isaiah 61:3). Strengthen this dear one with Your might, renew their mind through Your Word (Romans 12:2), and fill them with hope for the future. May they experience Your peace that guards their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus, our Healer, Redeemer, and Friend. Amen.
