Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing this burden for your son and for allowing us to pray with you. We are bringing him before the Lord and asking for the Lord's mercy and healing touch upon his back, for relief from pain, and for the gift of restful sleep.
Scripture shows us who Jesus is through His works of healing. The prophets spoke of the Messiah who would come to bring healing and restoration, and Jesus fulfilled those promises. When He healed a man who had been unable to walk for thirty eight years, and when He gave sight to a man born blind, those miracles were a testimony that He is the Son of God. At that time some were so bound by religious rules that they would not even apply cold water to a sprain on the Sabbath, but Jesus showed a different heart. He had compassion and He healed, showing that He has power over sickness and suffering.
That same Jesus is the one to whom we come now. The Bible teaches that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. To have the Son is to have life, and it is only through Him that we are accepted by God. He invites all who are weary and in need to come and receive from Him freely.
We are praying that the Lord will ease your son's pain, restore his back, and grant him peaceful sleep. We ask that God will comfort him in this trial, give wisdom for his care, and strengthen your faith as you trust Him. May you both know the nearness of Christ, who sees affliction, hears our cries, and is able to heal according to His perfect will.
Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up this son to You. Touch his body, relieve his pain, heal his back injury, and grant him sleep and renewed strength. Let him and his family experience Your peace and Your love through Your Son. In Jesus name, Amen.
