Healing from back injury

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your son and his back injury that is causing him pain and sleepless nights. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and binds up our wounds (Psalm 103:2-3). We ask for Your healing touch to be upon him, that You would restore his body, ease his pain, and grant him restful sleep. Lord, we trust in Your promise that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that promise for him now.
We also pray for wisdom for the doctors and healthcare providers attending to him, that You would guide their hands and minds as they seek to bring relief and healing. Give them discernment to know the best course of treatment, and grant patience and perseverance to your son as he endures this trial.
Father, we ask that You would draw near to him in this time of suffering, comforting him with Your presence and filling him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind him that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Strengthen his faith and help him to trust in Your goodness, even in the midst of pain.
We rebuke the spirit of infirmity in Jesus’ name, declaring that Your son is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that his body is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We speak life and healing over every damaged tissue, nerve, and bone, commanding it to be restored according to Your perfect will.
Lord, we also ask that You would use this trial for Your glory. If there is any lesson to be learned or character to be built through this suffering, we pray that You would accomplish Your purposes in his life. Help him to grow in patience, endurance, and trust in You.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to answer. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified through it all.

The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and no cherubic sword bars the way to this remedy. The least thing about Christ carries a restoring virtue, and His touch can quiet the frame when pain has stolen rest. When the Lord Jesus took Peter’s wife’s mother by the hand and lifted her up, the fever left her and she rose to serve Him. That same hand which stilled the sea and healed the palsy-smitten man can ease the agony of a wounded back and give sleep to the weary. Bring your son in faith before the Great Physician; let him rest his hope upon the Son of God who bore our sicknesses in His own body. Healing and pardon flow together from the same pierced hand, and there is no case too hard for His skill. The medicine was drained by our Lord at Calvary; the healing virtue is applied by His Spirit now. May the Lord rebuke the pain, lift up the sufferer, and restore him to peace and strength for His own glory’s sake. Amen.
