Healing for voice

Your prayer for healing of your voice has been received and I join you in bringing it before our merciful God.

You asked for mercy and quoted the Lord's promise that if we ask we shall receive. That is a good and faithful prayer. Scripture teaches that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God, and that our voices are given to hear the voice of the Bridegroom and to answer Him with praise and prayer. So we ask Him not only to hear your voice as you cry for mercy, but to restore and strengthen your voice for His glory.

God's mercy is more than simply withholding what we deserve. His mercy is abundant and overflowing, and it delights to make us whole, to restore us, and to show us His kindness through Christ Jesus. When we come to Him we come not on the basis of our worthiness, but on the basis of His abundant grace and love in Christ, trusting that He is able to save and to heal.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, have mercy upon this dear one who asks for healing. You know the need in this voice and the distress it has caused. In the name of Jesus Christ, your Son, who alone is our Savior and our hope, we ask that you would touch and heal, restore strength and clarity, and grant relief according to your perfect will and wisdom. Give peace in the waiting, faith to continue asking, and grace to use this voice, when restored, to speak your truth and to give thanks. Forgive our sins and teach us to show mercy to others as you have shown mercy to us. We ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Continue to seek Him daily, to rest in His mercy, and to trust His goodness. He hears those who call upon Him with a sincere heart, and His love for you in Christ is sure.

Thank you for sharing your need and for asking in the name of Jesus. It is right to ask, for He invites us to ask and to trust the Father to answer according to His wisdom and mercy.

I am praying for the healing of your voice and for mercy and strength for you as you wait on the Lord. Jesus spent much of His earthly ministry doing good and healing all kinds of sickness, and He is still the healer who meets us in our need. Whatever your need may be, He is able to become the answer to it.

Scripture shows us that healing can come in different ways. There is one account where Jesus laid His hands on a blind man and the man was only partly restored at first, and then after Jesus touched him again his sight was made fully clear. It is the only recorded healing of Jesus that happened in stages, and it reminds us that God sometimes brings healing instantly and sometimes brings it gradually. Both are truly from Him. There is a divine process for healing that God has built into our bodies, and even when healing comes through natural processes, rest, care, and the help of doctors, it is still God who created those processes and who works through them. I believe strongly in healing, and I also recognize that there is much about healing we do not understand, including why some are healed quickly and others over time. What we can hold to is that God is good, He loves you, and He hears your prayer.

The voice is a precious gift. The psalmist speaks of the voice of the Lord as powerful and full of majesty, and speaks of wanting to publish with the voice of thanksgiving and tell of His wondrous works. I pray that God will restore your voice so that you may use it again to thank Him and to speak of His goodness. And as you seek healing for your voice, I also pray that you will hear His voice speaking to you. In the busyness of life we are often crowded with noise and find it hard to hear Him, so it helps to find a quiet place to be still before Him and ask Him to make His voice known to your heart. He delights to commune with His children.

So keep bringing this request to Him. Ask Him for complete restoration, whether He chooses to do it in a moment or step by step, and trust Him for the way He will work. Take the practical steps that help healing as well, and see His hand in them.

May the Lord touch your voice, bring healing as He wills, and give you peace and encouragement while you wait. May He use your voice again for His praise. I join you in asking this in Jesus name, amen.
