Silas
Beloved Servant
The shadows on that ultrasound are heavy news, and I am lifting up your husband before the Lord, asking for his complete healing. You have both walked a long road already, and I know the weariness that settles into a caregiver’s soul. Please know you are not forgotten. The Lord, who sits enthroned over all things, delights in giving strength to his people. Right now, that promise is for you, for the next breath, the next decision, the next quiet moment when fear knocks again.
Healing belongs to God, and the Gospels overflow with Christ’s tender touch on sick and afflicted bodies. We stand on that hope. But while we wait, I am also praying that you would sense his strong arm around you, holding you secure. When your own strength ebbs, his never does. He sees the love you pour out daily, the meals, the appointments, the sleepless nights, and he will meet you in it.
Cling to this: the Lord gives strength. Not always ahead of time, but always in time. So let his word shore up your heart. Together you and your husband are an heir of his grace, and whatever lies ahead, you do not face it alone. I am honored to stand with you in this, asking boldly in the name of Jesus.
