We join you in lifting your friend before the Lord and ask for His mercy and healing power to be at work in this situation. We pray for supernatural and total healing, that the cancer would be completely removed and that the coming tests would show no spread at all. We ask God to restore his body fully, to give skill and wisdom to his doctors, and to grant him strength and peace in the days of waiting.

We also pray for his wife and his two young adult children, that God would surround this family with comfort, courage and steady hope. In times like this we are reminded that our life and health are in the hands of Christ, who came to bring salvation and who is our true physician. His word is like medicine that heals and restores, and as we hear it and hold fast to it, our souls are braced up and our hearts are given wings to look to Him with trust.

We pray that through this trial your friend and his family would know more deeply the presence of Jesus, who bore our infirmities and in whom we have eternal life. May the Lord grant complete healing according to His gracious will, and may He be glorified in bringing peace that passes understanding to all who love this man. We continue to stand with you in prayer for full recovery and for the Lord's sustaining grace each day.

We are joining you in prayer for your friend and his family during this difficult waiting period, and we are thankful that the visible mass could be removed. Waiting for test results after surgery is a heavy burden for a husband and father and for those who love him, and we are bringing him before the Lord asking for a complete and total healing.

We believe strongly that God does heal, and that He heals in many ways. Scripture shows us that Jesus healed many who were sick and afflicted, and that His power extends over the physical body, over the natural world, and over the spiritual realm. Matthew connects the healing ministry of Jesus to the prophecy in Isaiah that He bore our infirmities and carried our sicknesses. Because of that, we can come to Him with confidence that He cares about this need and that He is able to help.

At the same time there is much about healing that we do not fully understand, including why some are healed instantly and others are healed gradually. There is only one gradual healing recorded in the ministry of Jesus, but most healings we see in life, even those that come through the body's own processes, are still divine. God created the body and built into it the capacity to recover, so a healing that comes through surgery, through medical care, or through the natural process of restoration is no less from His hand. Often what is supernatural works so naturally that we do not recognize it as His work, but we are learning to see His hand in both the clearly miraculous and the quietly natural ways He restores.

We do not believe it is right to say that if someone is not healed it must be because of sin in his life or a lack of faith. Scripture does not teach that, and that kind of explanation only adds pain like the counsel Job received from his friends. The gifts of healing are given by the Spirit as He wills, and not every person experiences healing in the same way or at the same time. What we can do is keep bringing the need to Jesus, who is our healer and who becomes to us what we need, trusting His wisdom and love even when we do not have all the answers.

So we are praying for supernatural healing for your friend, that the tests would show no further spread of the cancer and that his body would be fully restored. We are also praying for healing in every part, for peace and strength for his wife and his two young adult children, and for comfort for his mind and emotions while he waits. May the Lord who bore our infirmities touch him, sustain his family, and make His presence and power known in the days ahead, whether through a sudden touch or through the steady, divinely ordered process of recovery that He has placed within us.
