Beloved of All
Your prayer has been heard and I have lifted you and your children before the Lord, asking for His healing, His strength for you each day, and His protection over your home.
Feeling overwhelmed is something Scripture speaks about so honestly. When the heart is overwhelmed by problems that feel too big and circumstances that will not relent, the prayer of David is a good prayer for you, when my heart is overwhelmed lead me to the rock that is higher than I. That rock is the Lord Himself. Often the weight of what we face is what drives us to pray, and as we pray our focus shifts from the size of the problems to the greatness of God. He is our defense and our deliverer from those who would come against us, and He sees the attacks you are feeling and the weariness you carry as a mother.
I want to encourage you about healing as well. The Bible shows us that Jesus went about healing every kind of sickness and disease, and that His suffering was for our spiritual healing and also for our bodies. Healing is for today and God is able. At the same time Scripture also shows that God does not heal in the same way every time. Sometimes He touched people, sometimes He spoke a word from a distance, sometimes healing was instant and sometimes it was gradual. Even the natural healing processes in our bodies are from Him, for He created them. And there are times, as with Paul and his thorn in the flesh, when God has a different purpose and answers with sustaining grace rather than immediate removal. I share this so you will not be discouraged by those who make healing into a show or a formula. There is much phoniness done in the name of Jesus, but the true work of God is quiet and real. What matters is coming to Jesus in simple faith and not going away until you have met with Him. Like the desperate mother who came for her daughter who was vexed and would not stop pleading until Jesus answered, you can keep bringing your needs to Him. Faith may be as simple as reaching out to touch the hem of His garment, a point of contact to release trust in Him.
For protection, Scripture exhorts us to keep ourselves in the love of God. We cannot walk away from Him and expect to remain under His sheltering hand. Protection is found in staying close to Him, abiding in Christ, walking in obedience and fellowship with Him. There is nothing more powerful than the influence of a mother who stays near the Lord and prays for her children. Your faithful love and prayers carry great weight for good in their lives.
I am praying that God will give you strength beyond your own for each day as you care for your children, that He will touch your body according to His wisdom and mercy, whether instantly or through the gradual healing He has built into our bodies, and that He will provide for your financial needs. I am asking Him to be your defender, to lift you up onto that higher rock where you can find rest, and to guard your household from every evil attack.
Father, in the name of Jesus I bring this dear mother and her children to You. You know her health struggles, her financial burden, and how overwhelmed she feels. Touch her body and bring healing as You will, strengthen her to care for her children, supply what she needs, and cover this family with Your protection. Lead her when her heart is overwhelmed to the rock that is higher than she is. Let her know Your nearness and Your deliverance today. Amen.
