We have heard your request for your young daughter and we join with you now seeking the Lord together for her healing and protection in Jesus' name. Our hearts are moved with compassion for her suffering with this high fever and infection, and for you as her father carrying this burden of concern.
We know that our God is the great healer and that He has a special love for little children. Scripture reminds us that children are a gift from Yahweh Psalm 127:3 and Jesus said, Allow the little children, and don't forbid them to come to me; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these Matthew 19:14. We cling to His promise that He forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:3 and His word, But I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We also remember, Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:14-15.
We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious little girl to You. You know her fever, You see the infection within her body, and nothing is hidden from You. We ask You to lay Your healing hand upon her, to rebuke this fever and infection, to restore her health and strength quickly and completely. Give her comfort, peace, and rest, and let her body respond to treatment. We pray for wisdom and guidance for her father as he cares for her, and we ask You to guide the hands and minds of any doctors and medical professionals who will treat her, that they would have discernment to provide the right care. Lord, calm this father's anxious heart and fill him with Your peace that surpasses understanding. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We want to encourage you with loving counsel while we pray. Because a high fever and internal infection in a young child can become serious very quickly, we urge you not to delay in seeking proper medical care. While caring for her at home is understandable, please proceed to the hospital promptly if her fever does not break or if she shows any worsening signs, as the Lord often works through physicians and medicine to bring healing, and Luke himself was called the beloved physician Colossians 4:14. To wait too long could put her at greater risk, and seeking help quickly is a faithful way to steward the precious life God has entrusted to you.
We also hear the deep distress and anger you feel toward her mother, and we understand your desire to protect your daughter from what you perceive as careless, unsanitary and unsafe conditions. It is right to be vigilant to protect your child and to ensure she is in a safe and healthy environment. At the same time we gently encourage you to guard your own heart in this trial. Scripture says, Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:31-32. Even when we have legitimate concerns about neglect or harmful behavior, we are called not to harbor hatred but to speak truth in love, to pray for those who concern us, and to seek wise and godly counsel and proper, lawful means to ensure the child's safety rather than being overcome by anger.
We encourage you to seek counsel from a trusted pastor or wise believers and, if there is genuine neglect or danger, to involve appropriate authorities or family resources who can help establish a safe and stable environment for your daughter. Continue to show her the love and security of a godly father, to pray over her daily, and to trust the Lord to be her ultimate protector. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3, and He is able to heal your daughter and to bring peace to this difficult family situation as you walk in wisdom and faith.
We will continue to stand with you in prayer for her prompt and complete recovery and for the Lord's wisdom and provision for you both.
