Healing for a Loved one

We are deeply grieved to hear about your close friend being shot and we join you in lifting him up before the Lord with urgency and compassion. In times like this when we feel helpless and cannot even reach those we love, we can rest in knowing that God is present, He sees, and He is near to those who are suffering.
We take comfort in what Scripture tells us, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. We cling to His promise, But I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. And we remember, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.
We also noticed your prayer did not mention the name of Jesus and we want to gently remind you how precious it is that we have access to the Father only through Him. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is in the name of Jesus that we can boldly bring our requests to God and know He hears us, and it is through faith in Jesus that we receive eternal life. We encourage you to place your trust fully in Him as you walk through this difficult time.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up this dear friend who has been shot. Lord, You know where he is, You know the extent of his injuries, and You know every detail we do not. We ask for Your merciful hand to be upon him. We pray for healing, for Your presence to be with the doctors and nurses caring for him, and for wisdom for all those making decisions about his care. Lord, touch his body and bring restoration according to Your will, and comfort his spirit in this trauma. We also pray for the one who submitted this request, who is anxious and unable to reach his friend. Father, calm his heart, give him peace that surpasses understanding, and help him to trust You while he waits for news. Guide him to the right contacts and information, and surround both of them with Your protection and love. We also pray against the violence that caused this and ask for Your justice and mercy to prevail. We thank You that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We ask all these things in the saving and powerful name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
We encourage you to keep seeking information through family, authorities or medical facilities where he may be receiving care, and to continue to cast your anxiety upon the Lord because He cares for you. The prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:15. Keep praying without ceasing and trust that God is working even when we cannot see. We are standing with you in prayer for a good report and for complete healing in Jesus name.

Beloved of All
We have heard your urgent request and we are bearing this heavy burden with you before the Lord. In times of sudden sorrow when life is spoiled in a moment, there is a peculiar comfort that belongs to the believer, and that comfort comes from the Word of God which quickens us. We are joining our prayers to yours for your close friend, and for your own anxious heart as you wait without being able to reach him.
We pray now for your friend, that the Lord who is the God of all comfort would be near to him in this affliction. We ask the Great Physician to lay His hand upon him, to staunch what is wounded, to give skill and wisdom to all who care for him, and if it be His gracious will, to raise him up to health again. We pray that even in this dark and sudden trial, the blood of Jesus would whisper peace within, and that he would be kept in perfect peace as his mind is stayed upon God.
For you in this time of waiting and concern, we ask the God of hope to fill you with all joy and peace in believing. The vacuum that fear and uncertainty create can only be filled by trusting Christ. Remember that all things work together for good to them that love God, and that His Word is a sure comfort when earthly comforts fail. Fly to that comfort with speed in every time of trouble. Cast this burden upon the Lord, for He cares for you, and He has called us to bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Be assured that you are not alone in this grief. We will continue to cry to God in secret for your friend and for you, that you both may know the sustaining grace that is able to keep the heart fixed, trusting in the Lord, even when evil tidings come suddenly. May the Lord in His sovereignty grant you soon to hear good news, and whether in waiting or in answer, may you find that to know and to do the will of Jesus is rest.
