HEALING AND WISDOM

Your longing for a wise and understanding heart is pleasing to God, and He delights to answer that kind of prayer. Scripture says the Lord Himself gives wisdom, and from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. He stores up sound wisdom for those who walk uprightly and He guards and keeps their way. Wisdom is described as the principal thing, more precious than silver or gold or rubies, and nothing we desire can compare with it. When you find it, you find life, pleasantness, peace, and length of days, with riches and honor in its hands. By wisdom the Lord founded the earth and by understanding He established the heavens, so to walk in His wisdom is to walk in line with how He made all things.

That wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord, and it is found in Christ Himself, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. This is very different from the wisdom of this world, which God has shown to be foolish. The world in its own wisdom did not come to know God, and its wisdom comes to nothing. True wisdom does not lead to envy or strife. It is pure and it produces a clean and peaceable life. It is a defense and it gives life to those who have it.

God invites you to seek this wisdom as your closest companion. That means inclining your ear to hear Him, applying your heart to understand, loving wisdom and seeking Him early and with your whole heart. You mentioned wanting to pour out your soul before Him in prayer and to learn His Word effectively. That is the very path. As you seek Him wholeheartedly, ask Him, and stay in the Scriptures, He will pour out His Spirit of wisdom and knowledge upon you. He has promised that those who love wisdom and seek it will find it. Walking with the wise, as Proverbs 13:20 says, is part of how God makes you wise, because He uses faithful voices and His Word to instruct you and give you discretion, justice and understanding for every part of life, including how to be a good steward of all He has entrusted to you.

For your physical needs, be assured that God cares for your body as well as your soul. When Jesus came, He bore our sicknesses and carried our pains, and the Scriptures present His broken body as provision for healing as well as for forgiveness. It is right to bring your teeth, your eyes, your left leg and the left side of your pelvis, the area in your upper thigh, the place on your abdomen, and your stomach, intestines and entire gastrointestinal tract before the Lord with faith and to ask for complete healing in the name of Jesus Christ. At the same time, the most mature faith also rests in complete trust and says, Lord, Your will be done, committing the outcome fully to His perfect wisdom and love.

Let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we ask You to give this dear one a wise and understanding heart. Teach the fear of the Lord which is the beginning of wisdom, and help in departing from evil which is understanding. Incline the ear to Your Word and apply the heart to know You more. Help in seeking You with the whole heart, pouring out the soul before You, and learning Your Word with clarity and depth. Make this life fruitful as a faithful steward of all You have entrusted. Surround this one with wise counsel and cause walking with the wise to bear fruit in wisdom. We also bring every physical need before You, the wisdom tooth on the right and all the teeth, the eyes, the left leg and pelvis, the thigh, the abdomen, the stomach and intestines and the whole gastrointestinal system. Lay Your healing hand upon each part and bring complete restoration according to Your mercy and power. We ask this in the holy name of Jesus Christ, trusting Your goodness and Your will. Amen.
