Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart so openly and for inviting prayer for both spiritual growth and physical healing. Your desire to be a faithful steward of all God has entrusted to you, to seek Him with your whole heart, to pour out your soul before Him, and to learn His Word more effectively is precious to the Lord, and it is a prayer He delights to answer.
Scripture teaches that wisdom does not come from ourselves. The Lord Himself gives wisdom, and out of His mouth come knowledge and understanding. He stores up sound wisdom for those who walk uprightly and He guards and keeps the way of His people. Wisdom is the principal thing, so we are urged to get wisdom and with all our getting to get understanding. Its value is greater than silver or gold or rubies. In her right hand is length of days, in her left hand riches and honor, and all her paths are pleasantness and peace. The beginning of this wisdom is the fear of the Lord, and to depart from evil is understanding. In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, so when we seek Him we are seeking wisdom itself.
That is why your prayer to seek God with all your heart is so right. When we incline our ear to wisdom and apply our heart to understanding, when we love wisdom as a close companion and call understanding near like family, we are really drawing near to God Himself. He promises that those who love wisdom and seek it early will find it, and that He will pour out His Spirit of wisdom and understanding upon those who ask. True wisdom is not the wisdom of this world, which God shows to be foolishness because the world by its wisdom did not know God. True wisdom comes from above, it is pure and peaceable, and it is learned through receiving instruction and perceiving the words of understanding found in His Word. As you continue to walk with the wise through Scripture and through fellowship with wise and godly people, the promise of Proverbs 13:20 will be fulfilled in you, that walking with the wise you will become wise.
I also join you in prayer for your body, for your teeth and especially the upper wisdom tooth on the right, for your eyes, for the entire left leg and the left side of the pelvis, for the growths in the upper left thigh and on the abdomen, and for your stomach, intestines and the whole gastrointestinal tract. The Lord cares for the whole person. The prophet Isaiah spoke of the Messiah bearing our sicknesses, and the Gospel shows Jesus healing many who were brought to Him, revealing that His suffering on the cross touches both our spiritual and our physical need. When we remember His body broken for us, we remember that healing is part of His compassionate provision. To come to Him and pray, Thy will be done, is not a lack of faith but an expression of great wisdom and trust, committing ourselves fully into the hands of a loving Father who knows what is best and who preserves the way of His saints.
May the Lord grant you a wise and understanding heart to steward well what He has given you, deepen your hunger for His Word, and teach you to pray with ever greater freedom and confidence. May He lay His healing hand upon you and restore you according to His perfect will and mercy.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we ask You to give this dear one wisdom, knowledge and understanding from Your own mouth. Teach this heart to fear You, to love Your Word, and to walk closely with You. Pour out Your Spirit of wisdom and help this life to be kept in Your paths of pleasantness and peace. We also ask for Your mercy upon the body, for complete healing of the teeth, eyes, leg, pelvis, and digestive system, and for the removal of every growth and pain. Do Your gracious work for Your glory. We trust Your goodness and Your power, and we pray this in the holy name of Jesus Christ, our wisdom and our healer. Amen.
