Your desire for a wise and understanding heart is the most important request you could bring before God, and it is one He delights to answer. Scripture teaches that wisdom does not come from ourselves but from the Lord. Out of His mouth come knowledge and understanding. He stores up sound wisdom for those who walk uprightly and He guards and keeps the way of His people. To seek Him with all your heart, to pour out your soul before Him in prayer, and to learn His Word diligently is exactly how that wisdom is received. When you incline your ear to wisdom and apply your heart to understanding, you will find the knowledge of God.

Wisdom is the principal thing, so the call of Scripture is to get wisdom and with all your getting to get understanding. The beginning of that wisdom is the fear of the Lord, a reverent love and obedience toward Him and a turning away from evil. That is where true understanding starts. This wisdom is more precious than silver or gold or rubies, and nothing you could desire compares to it. In her right hand are length of days, in her left are riches and honor, and all her paths are peace and pleasantness. She will preserve you and keep you. By wisdom the Lord founded the earth and by understanding He established the heavens, so the one who walks in that wisdom walks in step with the Creator Himself.

Remember that in Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Wisdom cries out and invites everyone to come and eat of her bread and drink of what she has provided, to forsake foolish ways and to walk in understanding. This is very different from the wisdom of this world, which God has shown to be foolishness. The world by its own wisdom did not know God, and its wisdom comes to nothing. But the wisdom from above is pure and brings a life marked by peace and righteousness. The Lord promises that those who love wisdom and seek her early will find her.

Your prayer to walk with the wise so that you may become wise is grounded in that same truth. The Word says that companionship shapes character, and when you walk with wise people, those who fear the Lord and love His Word, you will grow in wisdom yourself. As you continue to seek Him wholeheartedly and to receive instruction from the Scriptures, He will give you discretion and judgment to be a faithful steward of all He has entrusted to you.

We are also bringing your physical needs before the Lord in prayer, your teeth and especially the upper wisdom tooth on the right, your eyes, the entire left leg and left side of the pelvis, the area in the upper left thigh, the spot on the abdomen, and your stomach, intestines and entire gastrointestinal tract. We pray for complete healing in the name of Jesus Christ. The Scriptures show that Jesus bore our infirmities and carried our sicknesses, and the Gospel records how He healed all who were brought to Him, fulfilling what was spoken through Isaiah. We bring these needs to Him with confidence in His power and compassion, and with full trust in His perfect will, praying as our Lord taught us to pray, Your will be done, and committing ourselves completely into His hands.

May the Lord grant you a deep love for His Word, a heart that seeks Him daily, and the wisdom and understanding that come from Him alone. May He touch your body and bring healing according to His mercy and grace, and may you know His peace and presence as you walk with Him. We are praying for you and asking God to bless you abundantly in Christ.
